Day 1-3
First few days on the fast...doing pretty well....
Date: 5/9/2007 7:28:06 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 1989 times Well I'm here at the end of day three. So far it hasn't been too hard for me. I've been praying in the mornings and reading my bible and also reviewing my goals at that time as well. I've been drinking tea like crazy....I'm going to be switching over to green tea soon...
Mainly I just feel REALLY hungry but I'm trying to get used to that feeling since its going to be with me for the next couple of weeks. I guess another important task is to wrap my head around taking this week for week instead of thinking of how much longer I have to go.
I was thinking today how many weight loss schemes are out there that promise that you can lose weight without feeling hungry. Oh please, I mean does this really make sense? I always believed that hunger was the body calling us to eat something or else it will start feeding off of itself (i.e. your fat stores) Its this what we want when we are losing weight? To attach the fat directly? It is uncomfortable though. Its one of those feelings that you know you can rid yourself of by just reaching out and eating something. Food is ubiquitous, there's pretty much no place that you won't find it. I guess the real challenge is saying yes to self control and allowing real hunger to be felt, not just temporarily but on a prolonged basis.
