They say clothes make the man.
Hardly anything I wear
seems to fit.
Shoes especially bring
up embarassment.

I have shoe embarrassment.
I used to wear a pair of Wolky Sandals
that fit pretty good. They wore out.
I could not get a replacement at the Birchenstock store,
even when I went in three times. The model they ordered
to not fit well.
I have gone back to the Sandalz.
Blake, who answered the phone, of this family run store
in Oceanside, helped me identify that I have the
Classic Model.
I just ordered two pairs.
At least there is some footwear that fits.
I cannot seem to fit in a Normal pair of shoes.
When I dress up in my sport suit, I am still wearing
these. I wish I could fit in something that seemed
more appropriate. There are times I wish I did not look
like an oddball.
Here is where I get the Sandalz.

This is how my shoes look,
rain or shine, dress up or everyday:
I have had this shoe problem for a long time.
It extends to pants as well.
As a kid going shopping downtown was a Trauma.
I rarely could find a pair of pants that fit me
They say the clothes make the man.
I just don't fit.
That's what comes up for me.
I just don't fit in,
even when I try.
Maybe that's why I developed
an alter personality,
Your Enchanted Gardener.
Before I developed that,
there would like I would just break down
and cry when I had to fill out one of those
forms that asks:
Where do you live?
What do you do for a living?
I just wasn't normal.
Never have been.
Never have felt that way.
I once had a tailor, a sweet elder
who would make me Happy Coats, a kind of design
she copied for me. I had a whole wardrope.
My favorite was lost when my original EG Mobile
was stolen.
I still have a few of those.
My favorite shirts I get from INATS,
the International New Age Trade Show.
I haven't been back in a numbers of years.
I keep nursing along my shirts.
It costs about $1000.00 to take that trip to Colorado
for INATS. That's a lot to pay for about five shirts.
Thank God for Rina, head of the Jewish Enrichment Club
that is supported by the B'nai Horin Community in LA.
She is family.
She loves to shop.
Most of my pants and even my short suit came through Rina.
She knows how to shop the Thrift stores.
Woke up today with tons of inspiration,
but lost it when A came to knock on the door
to tell me there is another leak in the basement.
I haven't been the same since.
Back to shoes:
Went to the garden yesterday. Had the most marvelous
inspired experience, but got mud over my only pair
of Sandalz.
They were wearing out.
Sometimes, I have terror when I go places
and can't find my Sandalz that I have taken off
to walk barefoot.
Today I ordered to pair.
I need a little extra security in my life right now.
I am going to use the old pair just for gardening.
