I prepare for a long autumn's "fast"...
My plan for tomorrow - to go juicarian and hopefully be like Carol Holloway
Date: 8/4/2006 11:52:23 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3050 times I've been reading this book called, I do not kid you, _Juicarianism for Fun and Profit_, for some time and am now being forced to consider perhaps going juicarian myself for a few years. This past week and a half I have had so many brushes with death - come within a hair's-breadth and was unconscious for days. So when I picked up the book again, I got serious. It's a strangely inspirational book, has an air of hypobole rather than the opposite. What is most intriguing is the before and after photos section of the female author, whose name I tried to research on the web to no avail. If the pictures are to be believed, she went from being tremendously ugly, a travesty of human appearance and fuction, to being charmingly beautiful, looking like a mop-headed young girl with long limbs and warm-auburn hair. Everythng about her, cosmetically, seems to have changed in the few years she chronicles of juicarianism, and the diary extracts show that it was an internal revolution as well.
Today I am eating all my favorite raw vegan foods - munching on a heirloom tomato now, as a matter of fact, because I want to do this thing and have this happen to me, too. I can't stand my "life" anymore. So unhappy and ugly and stupid and evil- I wonder if juicarianism could change me, too? So I want to go juicarian tomorrow, for a commitment of several years.
Does anyone know anything about Carol Holloway? I can't find any reference to the person anywhere except this book, which was published a couple of decades ago.
