Day 4 - Master Cleanse
No hunger, no thirst, but appreciating food on a higher level.

I also switched to limes which gives more juice per fruit than lemons. I only did this cause lemons are not in season or something and they are all greem. So I bought limes instead. It tastes a lot better than the lemon juice. I wasn't hungry or thirsty at all today I had to force myself to drink the limeade at all. I had about 8 cups today. I even made sandwiches for my husband and daughter, and I cooked a steak and pasta dinner that smelled great and I still wasn't hungry. To be honest I am kind of afraid of what will happen if I do give in and eat something. Will my stomach explode? LOL. I am a worst case scenario kind of thinker.
I did a SWF with 1 tsp of sea salt and 16 oz. of water. Thats all I could tolerate. I had my first BM of the day after that. Within an hour I had the second one and that was it. I also had 20 drops of Black Walnut Hull Tincture at around 2pm. I thought this would help me eliminate throughout the day but nothing happened. I did a workout (Bellydance Slim Down) and sweated like crazy. I know I have lost weight but I am not going to check the official count until the 14th day because I am not doing this to lose weight. I drank a smooth move tonight hopefully I will have a BM with substance soon.
Side Note:
This month's issue of Natural Health (July/August 2006) has a great article on eating a raw diet. Really interesting and it has some tasty looking recipe's too.
I really liked the article called "Eat Here Now, How to Consume Less and Be Joyfully Satisfied With Every Meal" starting on page 61. Here's an excerpt:
"Mindful eating helps regulate your appetite as well. "When you eat with awareness, your body knows how much it needs," David says. Your brain has time to notice the scent, taste and texture of food and to register when you've taken in sufficient nutrients and calories."
As I was cooking dinner, I couldn't taste it physically but I could smell every ingredient and taste it mentally. The tomatoes, the garlic, the basil, the oregano, etc. It was an amazing feeling. I actually derived pleasure from the smells of the food I normally take for granted and just scarf down. It didn't make me hungry, I just enjoyed it and appreciated it on a higher level.
Tomorrow is day 5 and I have a feeling its gonna be a good day.
