Day 2 - Extreme Goddess Makeover - Fasting from Negativity
The Promised Land ...(where seldom is heard a discouraging word), and promise to refrain from criticizing, judging or speaking negatively about ANYONE for the next 21 days.
Date: 5/8/2006 3:20:27 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 4549 times As always, the first days are rough ... the process of my body shifting from war zone to peace zone left me limp and wanting to lie down most of Day One. Sleeping fitfully, feeling a bit nauseous and certainly repentent, I made it across the rough waters into The Promised Land of Fasting. That peaceful place is where I shift from acid to alkaline, and from playing the game of assualt and battery to my body (via wrong food choices) to loving and nurturing it back to health.
I am choosing to fast for a long time, and therefore will be changing it up from time to time as directed by intution....with the only restriction that everything is fresh, uncooked, mostly organic, vegan and liquid--juiced or blended--adding hot teas as well. This is "nutritional fasting" that also uses many catalysts for cleansing such as herbal formulas. Yesterday I blended a pineapple in the Vitamix, adding water and ice to create a delicious tropical concoction .... the natural fiber is retained, the Vitamix chops it fine like a milkshake, and a bit of stevia keeps it sweet. Diluting it with lots of water allows one pineapple to provide several drinks throughout the day. I craved the enzymes to break through my sluggish system.
Happy to say, 5.75 pounds lost on the morning of Day 2 --- mostly bloat, of course, but it's all good and welcome to be released.
I have made the decision to also fast my tongue and my mind from speaking ill of others --- which is a nasty trick of the ego to defend it's position ---- and instead seek out something GOOD about that person, and state that good out loud if possible, which will be, of course, very healing to me in the mirror-reflecting nature of the Universe. What I bless in others I bless in myself. What I forgive in others I forgive in myself. Whatever I put my mind and energy on expands, so I will expand the good and notice and appreciate it. That which I water, grows.
Having made this commitment, a certain alliance with positivity opens, and the day seems brighter, more joyous, and filled with the seeds of creativity, movement and order on many levels.
Happy fasting to all. May All Life Know Bliss.
