A multinational force must be dispatched to Lebanon quickly so we can help speed the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people. Iran must end its financial support and supply of weapons to terrorist groups like Hezbollah. Syria must end its support for terror and respect the sovereignty of Lebanon."

Aug 2: Dave Lalshouk, 52, of Kibbutz Sa'ar, north of Nahariya, was killed by a Katyusha rocket. Over 200 rockets landed in Nahariya, Kiryat Shmona, Rosh Pina, Tiberias, Acre, Karmiel, Afula, Maalot and Safed, wounding at least 50.
- Hizbullah also fired several long-range missiles, one landing between Beit She'an and Jenin, over 70 km from the northern border - the furthest point in Israel hit to date.
