Are You On A Diet?
...because you didn't eat cookies?
Date: 12/11/2006 6:16:42 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3792 times I went to a concert last night. Afterwards, there was a reception. I looked at the food table briefly, then moved on. All they had was grocery store bakery plain cookies with fancy icing, and a bowl of punch. I wasn't tempted in the least by the cookies or punch - I don't even like those things.
Someone standing nearby saw me take a look and then move on. They asked me, through a mouthful of cookie, "Are you on a diet?!?"
I think this was meant in that "if you are on a diet, you don't need to be, because you are a good body weight" way. But good grief! I didn't eat cookies, so I'm on a diet? PLEASE!!!!
Nobody should have eaten those lousy cookies or the nasty punch (which I later found out had been made using diet gingerale and white grape juice. Ew.).
I don't even know what to think, it was just a perplexing situation.
