Day 8: It's a Woman's Perogative...
..to change her mind
Date: 2/28/2006 12:38:16 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2580 times OKay, I've decided to continue with the cleanse. I realized that I had a VERY weak moment but managed to overcome my own foibles.
Things have become very easy these days. I feel no hunger but I still want to eat. I suspect it's out of habit and comfort.
I tend to have BM's up until around noonish then nothing for the rest of the day. Which is okay. Nothing unusual is being expelled. But it's still stinky.. ewwwww..
Okay, probably too much information.
I'm experiencing an increase in energy today but nothing manic. I hope to get through tomorrow's Karate class after 9 days of no solid food.
Just in case anyone's wondering, my current regimen is as follows.
9 cups of lemonade. I make them in the morning in 3 containers which can hold 3 'feedings'. (I've marked off the appropriate levels with masking tape)
Each container receives 7 Tbsp of lemon juice. Which is like taking 2.3 Tbsp per cup of water. I find that helps to counteract the sweetness of the maple syrup.
2 Tbsp per cup of water. Grade 3 (aka C) Organic. Tomorrow I am switching to blackstrap molasses for a change and to cut the sweetness some more. This is probably the reason why I really didn't want to continue.
Cayenne pepper, about 1/8 tsp per cup. I should up this a bit too just to keep the metabolism up.
And 2 litres of water on top of that. With some caffeine free tea during the day and Flora Blend Laxative Tea at night.
Seems to work well. I noticed that the 2 times I cut my intake to 8 'feedings', I stopped sooner than expected (14 days) because I just needed to have some real nourishment.
This time I will attempt to go as long as I physically can. Up to 20 days. I can't promise that though, as I really need to maintain some physical energy for Karate as I have a belt test on April 1st.
Anyway, I have to go do laundry now.
This morning's weight: 173.5 still.
Nite!
