Be Peace
Reverend Michael Beckwith of Agape International Church in Los Angeles reminds us that Peace is a state of mind, a way of Being, a quality of consciousness, a way of Life

Peace is a quality of God that becomes active in your awareness...you begin to reveal Peace everywhere that you go. Now this is necessary, particularly in light of the ...circumstances the world is finding itself in now. There needs to be individuals that are carrying the consciousness of Peace.
...I just came back yesterday from Washington D.C....we had the privilege of participating in a Peace vigil at our White House there in Washington D.C...we were holding the space for Peace. And I was allowed to give the opening remarks, and I reminded the audience there ...what Ernest Holmes said, 'wouldn't it be wonderful if a group of people arrived on Earth that were for something but against nothing.' This is a state of consciousness. Wouldn't it be wonderful if a group of people arrived on Earth, that were for something, that could articulate, could see, could know, what they were about and not carry the vibration of being against something...which seems to me...is the dynamic quality of what Peace is all about. There's a new perspective...it's a real, not new, perspective on Peace.
....I'm talking to many of my compadres who have been involved in the Peace Movement...many of them got very down as our country began to use tremendous aggression upon Iraq. They got very down, as if they had failed in some way. I had to remind them that...what they were doing was not merely attached to an outcome. That they were maturing to become a vessel and a vehicle for real Peace, not merely being against war, but learning how to articulate that which is trying to emerge and then to participate in that as their livingness... This is what we're called to do. Peace is not tied to an outcome. It is a way of life that builds up an etheric, invisible body that ultimately creates a condition for the emergence of what is in our Soul. We can not have what we're not willing to become in consciousness. This is ancient truth. And so the perspective of Peace, we must understand, is a quality of consciousness that we're seeking to know, seeking to see, by paying attention to it...by paying attention, by paying attention! ...not just having intellectual discourse about interpreting it but about being transformed by the renewing of our mind on a daily basis until we are the Peace that we're looking for."
