Do Not Block My Waters!
Mother Earth tells us she desires the waters of the Mississippi to once again flow freely to the sea. She implores us to not block her waters. She warns of more storms to come.

Mother, how are you?
Dear One, it is good to hear your voice! I am fine, thank you. It is kind of you to defend me in your blogs, yet it is unnecessary. I took back what is mine. The waters will flow freely again, unless the humans decide, collectively, to rebuild... the waters, so long dammed, (are) now released. They are filthy with human waste, yes, but will cleanse themselves in time.
My desire is for the Great River, the one called Mississippi, to flow freely to my seas and marshes once more. She has suffered long enough. She is freed, if only partially, at least for now. It is not that I have no compassion for my human and animal children that are suffering, I do, yet the mighty waters of my body, my very life blood, must flow freely or I will sicken and my plant and animal, and ultimately my human, children will suffer. For three hundred human years my waters have been held back. I can no longer tolerate this. There will be other storms, other releases of long-dammed waters. You humans must find another way to live upon my body, in more harmonious ways than you have been doing.
I can understand, although I do not like, the damming of my waters to create reservoirs for drinking water. I do not understand, nor will I tolerate, the damming of my waters for purposes of "hydroelectric power" or massive human settlements such as the one recently destroyed. Do not block my waters! Find another way to be in community. Do not block my waters.

Mother Earth tells us her Hurricanes are necessary in order for Her to cleanse. She chastises us that we do not "own" her but abide upon Her only with Her blessing. She reminds us that we as a species are here only temporarily, as we will not always exist in our bodily form.
