Tuck your shirt in and sit up straight; Boy!!
Life is more than how much you have or think you can get!!
Date: 1/3/2007 6:35:35 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 3906 times Down south in Dixie we have some sayings that just mean the world to us... One to be proud of who you are and do the best GOD allows... Now some of you people do not believe in GOD, but there will come a day; believe me!!
Now we are not here to discuss your non belief, rather to try and teach you something about life... Most of the folks here and in many of the westernized parts of the world have way more than they need... Greed is the controlling factor!! This is not to cause you grief, rather it is a wake up call... So listen up folks...
It seemed that the more we have; the more we seem to want... HUH!! Sometimes more is less... How did I get that idea; well it all comes down to what we perceive as needed or necessary!! We see the advertisements and marketing blurbs almost every where now a days, on TV, radio, printed materials, signs, at games, on the hi ways, at the schools, and even in many churches... Why should we care about this folks??
Well maybe we should stop and analyze our lives and positions in this world... Most of the time we are so busy looking for more that; we miss the real important parts of our lives... It will be a real shame to look back and think how different or nice it could have been; if we had only listened and responded as a true Spirit Warrior while here on earth!! The only earthly things we will take into Eternity is our memories; it would be advisable to make them the best you can, starting today... HUH!!
Something to think about:
"It is some advantage to lead a primitive life if only to learn what are the real necessaries in life, Most of the luxuries and many of the so-called comforts are not dispensable but positive hindrances!" Thoreau
So tuck in your shirt and sit up straight boy; we are having chicken tonight!!
Some things in life are there because we need them; the rest are there to help make someone rich, and cause grief to the bearer... Remember a poor man does not worry about someone breaking into his home because he does not have any thing the world really wants...
Some things to think on as you build up more treasures in this life... DUH!!
See YA... A truth barometer... Kermit
