FairTax -- no longer the nation's best kept secret.
FairTax passed our first big primary test with flying colors. David Polyansky thanks our enthusiastic advocates and reminds everyone to continue their efforts while adhering to our campaign guidelines. He also issues a challenge to our supporters to step up their efforts in membership recruitment. Wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round.
After an amazingly successful inaugural tour of Iowa, the FairTax bus is heading to Georgia. The bus will travel a route down the eastern seaboard driving through New York City and Washington, D.C. and will end up in Atlanta sometime in mid-September. We are discussing dates for the FairTax “meet and greet” with Georgia state leadership details coming soon. It will be the first chance for many outside of Iowa to see the fully decked out motor coach and view videos from the Columbia, South Carolina rally and the bus tour across Iowa.  Learn More »

"Taking it to the streets" - Team FairTax.
Seven hearty souls accepted the challenge to ride across Iowa with 10,000 other cyclists for the annual RAGBRAI. Outfitted in custom jerseys, sunscreen, and helmets, Team FairTax hit the road preaching the benefits of the FairTax over the constant buzzing of the bicycle tires. Strong straw poll showing gains media exposure for FairTax.
For years, FairTax has been banging on the doors of the national media -- trying to gain the eye of an ever-fickle press corps that is often guilty of focusing on celebrity mishaps and editors’ pet issues rather than groundbreaking ideas. This is the atmosphere in which our Press Coordinator, John Nothdurft, has worked daily. However, 2007 has seen the FairTax chipping away at the wall and our persistence has finally paid off! A personal appeal to the candidates.
It’s not often that an individual gets a chance to speak directly to the presidential candidates about an issue that is close to their heart. FairTax offered such a chance. We invited folks to sit down and write an appeal to the candidates about why they should support the FairTax. The winning entry, by Tracy McAfee, was reproduced and handed out to the candidates (when possible) and their staffs in Ames last weekend.  Read the winning entry

FairTax supporters speak out.
The FairTax bus visited many little towns during its three week tour across Iowa. At each location, the FairTax team set up a video booth and invited supporters to share their thoughts about the FairTax. The winning video was shown at the Dare To Be Fair II rally in Ames.   Watch the clip now »
