Unchartered waters...
What am I going to do?
Date: 9/15/2006 4:48:08 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 5945 times I'm off in unfamiliar territory now. I'm not sure what to do next, it's hard to tell if the last round of treatments I've done helped me or hurt me.
I'm now having this discharge that looks like infection or healing matter (dare I say pus) uuugh. I hate even saying that. The odor is not bad but the itching and irritation are. I'm not sure whether or not to do another Hydrogen Peroxide wash? Maybe another RePhresh insert or just leave things alone for now. I hesitate to do the RePhresh because if it doesn't work while there is existing infection - only as a preventative - I don't want to waste it. It was $20 for just 4 inserts.I could use those up pretty fast and do no good at all.
On the other hand, if a healing process has begun I don't want to lose the benefit by leaving things alone and allowing the bad bacteria to proliferate again. There is absolutely no one I can talk to about this but you folks, I can't even bring myself to say it out loud. Sex is totally and completely out of the question! And it's already been 4 months, at least....
I don't think anyone realizes what a burden this is unless they've dealt with it. God help me, I'm actually thinking about asking the doctor for another antibiotic to get a jump on this and then do the RePhresh and some sort of "dophilus" supplement then. My doctor wanted me to do an antibiotic when she removed the IUD and I told her I would treat it at home but I haven't been successful. I just don't know what to do next.
