I ordered some of this from ProVitamins. At $18.94, the cost was very reasonable. The bottle arrived in a plain box - not refigerated - though the bottle says to store under refrigeration. Shipping was super-fast, it arrived in 2 days.
It's an oral capsule meant to recolonize the intestinal tract and vagina with healthy strains of lactobacillus. It contains 2 specific strains, which I have not yet done any research on.
I started taking them this morning (although i am currently not experiencing bad BV symptoms, the potential is always there, i.e. my discharge is heavier than it should be and somewhat thicker than it should be, which I feel is an indication of a bacterial imbalance.)
I stored the bottle in the fridge, although I;m pretty sure that it's a little late for that, if the damage has already been done by shipping it un-refrigerated. I'm going to go ahead and give it a try anyway.
I'll keep you posted on any results.
