No Cure, only treatments
Date: 4/15/2005 9:33:02 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 3944 times I have looked into alternative methods of treatment because after my research into BV I realized that antibiotics would be futile, only aggravate the situation and were NOT the promised cure. I realized that to find a permanent cure to the problem I would have to find the right way to restore the natural balance of vaginal flora so that my body could properly sustain that balance and I could discontinue treatments.
I tried Oral Lactobacillus supplements and intra-vaginal suppositories, tried different brands, combined the two, etc. They all worked as a treatment but not a cure. Some that I used claimed to contain live Hydrogen Peroxide producing Lacto strains (but how can I prove that without a microbiology lab?) I even ordered something from France and couldn't read the label when it came! Nothing worked as a permanent cure, the symptoms always returned when treatment stopped.
The key here, the key to a real cure, is repopulating the vagina with the H3O-Lacto so that they colonize and grow on their own again. No one seems to know that secret. They are finally starting to realize the importance of these bacteria in the medical community though, a new contraceptive is now in studies called BufferGel. It's key ingredient is H3O Lacto. They are studying it as a contraceptive and also a possible cure for BV and protection against AIDS and other STD's! It is still 10 years away from public release but the possibilities are pretty exciting. If they would concentrate more on building up our systems rather than the antibiotic KILL KILL KILL approach, we would all be so much more healthy!
