Unexplained Psychic and Spiritual Experiences
I feel at some time in the life of each of us, things happen to us which cannot be explained. We feel a hidden power was at work.
Date: 1/9/2006 11:39:57 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2613 times I think the first experience I can remember was when I was working for the TM (Transcendental Meditation) movement in Switzerland and had just been cleaning a corridor outside the Maharishi's bedroom. As I was passing the door a pandit came out who wanted to use the vacuum cleaner to clean the room.
I gave him the machine and waited outside. After a few minutes I noticed that he had finished using the machine and it was just inside the door.
Not thinking, I stepped forward to remove the vacuum cleaner. As I crossed the threshold I was zapped by an unseen energy field, like static electricity, which seemed to short-circuit all my nervous system.
For the next twenty minutes or so, I had to sit on a chair in the corridor to re-centre my energies. For a few hours afterwards, I kept having dizzy spells. To this day, I am not quite sure what zapped me but I know that something unexplained happened to me.
A few weeks later I heard of the practice of building a "protective kavach or shield" to protect your property; I am not sure if it was one of these I short-circuited, or just a very strong presence from a highly developed being.
Another thing I noticed was that street lights would often go out as I was walking under them. This had been happening for a few months and I had been mentioning it to some of my friends.
On this particular day I went to church in a car with two of my friends. On the way back we came over a flyover and the person driving said, did you see that? So I asked him, what? He said, the street light just went out. I told him not to worry as this happens all the time to me.
Anyway, the next minute, the driver stops the car. I ask why he is stopping and he says, another one has just gone off. By this time he is sounding a bit anxious. We set off again, and a third street light goes off as we drive under it. I must admit this was the first time I got three in a row.
About six months later I was visiting my family who live in Tenerife and had just told the story to a couple of people in the room. One of the girls said, well, make that street light over there go out, pointing to it.
I told her, it doesn't work like that; anyway, a few minutes later I noticed it was getting dark in the room and walked over to switch the ceiling light on.
The next minute there was a big flash and a bang and the lights fused. For months afterwards no-one could get that light to work again!
