Land the Loser
self expressing some morning
thoughts to get through sadness
over the destruction at the farm in South
Central L.A. This is a time of mourning
for this land, but I have to get into
improving my own System today.

I have to light a candle to keep my focus.
My heart is in mourning for the land,
the land itself, the state of fertility,
the establishment of a place where
growth could happen--a farm--
a farm that was producing Life--
and then, the coming up of the Crack
material that Won Out and caused
the destruction of a precious, priceless
piece of property.
I am really feeling my wound this morning.
I am feeling disheartened, sad, disappoointed,
capable of distraction,
wanting to do something,
wanting to write,
wanting to say, "Don't you see what happened?"
The situation is the Farm,
the Farm in Central L.A. where some folks
were give land following the Riots of 1992
to make a garden.
Here is a new story from NBC that gives some
of the dialogue between developer Ralph Horowitz
who was very upset at the people and their
attitudes. He decided, even after they raised
the requested money for the sale, that he would
not sell to them at any cost.
Yesterday he personnally participated in the bulldozing
of the 14 acre land that contained the garden.
He speaks about the lack of graciousness,
the conduct of these people who somehow felt
entitled that they had a right to be on this land.
He speaks of at one time being willing to sell
at a high profit this land, but then being so turned
off by their attitude that he would not sell to them
at any price.
So it is the wound that has won out here.
It is the material in the Crack inside us stuff
that erupted on both sides, and a higher ethics
and a higher consciousness did not revail.
Not the scab is open.
Not the Wound is broken open
and the pain is out to run amuk.
There was a better way to handle this.
Ther is always a better way.
There are a lot of things that could be said
about this. A part of me would rather get into
saying them, feeling them, working with the
ideas, then spend this day moving improving
my own Systems so I can take steps to
secure the Land where I live.
We all have Crack material.
We all have Sacred Wounds.
From these Sacred Wounds can come
a new Enchanted Garden, a new discovery
of Soul here on Earth.
In this instance, The Land was the Loser.
In this moment, and this may change,
The Wound that many disenfrancised feel
in this country is again stirred,
and the Wounds that many Jewish people
once disenfrancised have felt is up to be seen.
I wish I had time to express more.
Hopefully I will.
There is a lot to explore here,
and many feelings to heal.
You can get read some of the dialogue yourself
here on this NBC link.
Praise God.
Praise the Earth.
When will we come to realize
that a Farm is a Sacred place,
a Church kind of place,
a place where different Laws are operable,
asking a Higher Ethics.
There should be a Law against
destroying fertile soil, but we are
eons of consciousness away from that
realization.
We have all the time in and outside this world to work out
our Crack Issues even if it takes Centuries
but Oh, the cost in pain and suffering
until we get the the Job done.
(Not sure this is clearly expressed...
Do you understand???
I will explain further later...)
How very sad as well,
that the Enchanted Garden can be here
if we only come to see that
The Earth and the Soul are Soilmates.
