Jesus! I am Frustrated!
What am I doing with my time?
Making copies of some writings
about Harpo inspires me and
leaves a longing for my writings
to be out in the world and giving
me back the joy's that come with
authorship.

Jesus! I am frustrated!
The world is going to hell in a handbasket.
I am here with talents that could make a difference
and here I am spending my morning finishing
detail work, making wallet size prints for
SK. Is this what I am here to do?
Best Friend was reiterating some coaching
I know myself, that these pains shooting down
into my feet are a knock knock wake up call
from my part of my consciousness that is whole,
pure, and natural
asking me to make less a hell out of my own life.
I mean where does Heaven
peace
what is good begin than
with each of us?
Got excited last week saying YES
to Mary Rose about sending her some things
so we can collaborate on some Harpo materials
coming out into the world.
I often thought that if I had an academy award
in me, it would be for the story of Harpo's Heath House
by the sea, and his Latter Days.
I made copies this morning of a placard
that says St. Christopher, Guardina of Wayfarers
Protect Us.
On it is a note to Harpo from Leon De Seblo,
a name you may not find on the internet.
He led a rather secretive life after his early years
as a health barnsstormer. As a health promoter
he was in the tradition
that Bragg and Jensen carried forth.
These health pioneers would go city to city
sharing the health gospel, as some of us do here
on the Curezone.
De Seblo was 105 when I met him.
He had known Harpo, and Jensen as well,
and other in the Soul Group.
He wrote to Harpo on the St Christopher paper:
"Dear Harpo, I am sending you Divine Love and Blessings.
I wish from my heart you will be the guide of other Souls
who strive for Divine Love.
God Bless you,
Dr. Leon De Seblo"
It was signed 8/28/76
when I visited Dr. Deblo at his house
in Auburn, California
DeSeblo was an early pioneer in the Superfood
evolution. Jensen promoted Chlorella, one of the original
green foods that DeSeblo felt could save the world.
Harpo knew about Chlorella, or maybe I turned him on to it.
I am not sure.
Harpo, I read in my unpublished story here,
was making carrot juice as far back as 1929 or so.
(Check that date, later).
Jensen was one of the first who promoted raw goat's milk
for health.
I sent to Mary a story that was published in the
Holistic Life Magazine during 1981 called
"Sexuality and Spirituality." It is part of a larger piece
called "Rising of a Scorpio Dancer."
Harpo was one of the greatest Lovers the world ever knew,
in every sense of the word. His health began to decline
when he went celebate for Jesus.
I remember him saying, "I cannot breathe"
when he stopped having sex.
He was a very physical kind of guy.
Mary has a ton of letters from Harpo in his Latter Days
when he became a Voice for Jesus.
He was helping people long before that.
He reached out to everyone before we had a word
called Homeless.
They would come and stay.
Other who came were the New Age Wayfarers.
I have letters from them.
Some were like birds traveling from Canada
to Guatamala. We were a stopping haven
at the Health House by the Sea.
Others like the one we called Mom would send
letters from Hawaii and other ports of call.
Some wore St. Chnristopher medals. It was
a popular thing to do.
I have had three dads in my life.
One birth dad is now in a convalescent home
recovering from a stomach surgery.
Harpo was my second dad.
Jensen my third dad.
I lost the first two to God as practiced
by religion. They rammed me with God.
That was in part why I let go of Harpo,
although in a quirky way, he "blamed" me for
discovering the Bible. The Psychic surgeon Feliciano
gave me his. I was stunned to see God through
the way Feliciano healed people. I would take the Bible
for a walk every day, as some take their dog for a walk.
There were no less that five bars on Ventura Place.
By the time we got kicked out of Ventura Place in Mission
Beach, we were making the locals a bit uncomforable
with our Prayer Circles in front of the store, and a big cross
that went up over the store.
They liked the store better when the sign overhead
said "Harpoburger." Harpo was one of the best
burger makers anywhere. Next he angered
the locals when he went vegetarian.
I arrived a number of years after that.
I was given top status. I lived upstairs
over Hamels. Others lived in the back
in what we called the Cave.
In some sense, I was the downfall
of Harpos. Me and my big ideas,
all 100 pounds of me or so throwing
my weight around.
Lots of what we did back then is recorded
in ads and journals.
But that is another story.
By the time, Harpo was kicked out of the neighborhood--
presumably because his lease would not be renewed--
he was Way into Jesus. By the time he met Mary
who is writting the Harpolove Blog, he had been a celebate
for numbers of years.
Here are a few graphs from the MS:
"Harpos conversion to Jesus Christ was enigmatic,
even to those like me who knew him, had lived with him,
and loved him. He had always been a black sheep in the
eyes of his respected family. The Andrews sisters, the singers
who were popular through the 40's, were his blood family.
He was their eldest brother. He was without question guilt ridden,
and carried wounds from living outside the law, both of man,
and God, as he viewed it now."
He had reached the point where he knew he had misused
sexual energies all his life, and for his own salvation, felt deeply
that the place of sex was in marriage...although he was in no
position to marry himself. In his rejection of the world he knew,
he now found the message of sin and damnation and the possibility
of eternal life through Jesus Christ, suited both to his psychology
and spiritual aspirations.
Coming from a world where he had no rules but to love,
Harpo now found solice and security in the crystallized doctrines,
dogmas, and "thou shalt not's" of the Christian radio networks.
He turned to his radio with a consuming passion and set his mind
to turning off his sex life."
Here are a few paragraphs from
a journal entry called
Salvation for Harpo
November 16, 1980
(My mother's birthday...hmm)
"He could hold back no longer.
Against everything, every moral code he had drilled
into his head, against all he heard from early morning
to late night on his Christian radio networks, Harpo rolled
over onto his stomach, rose up on hands and knees,
and begin arching his lower back. Arching, breathing,
arching, breathing, stretching, breathing, as he did it, he could
not hold back the memories of association,
that even now, after four years of celebacy, feelings
he could not deny, and fantasies he could not wipe clean--
memories of familar loves taking form below him.
He went on for twenty minutes, masking his guilt,
setting it aside. Sensations of electricity he experienced,
and then suddenly, he heard it, this incredible crack
of relief as muscles in his right hip let go a stranglehold
that had kept him crippled, limping, wringing in around the clock
shooting pains for eight weeks. When the crack came,
he layed down, waiting for punishment, yet it did not come.
Rather, he felt the easing of pain as he began to trust
he was not to be slammed down on his bed with
more unrelenting suffering..
What was his crime? What were the deeds
he committed that had brought his struggle with life to this
eiry place of battle between light and dark?
He layed there alone. The late afternoon turning
away, and the coolness of fall beginning to filter
into his bedroom that had held him prisioner for months."
....and then Harpo met Mary....
w/ Harpo
"I will never be totally convinced, nor will anyone
who truly knew Harpo, that the struggles, traumas,
and frequently absurd scenes he created around himself
were not out of service to the growth of those he cared for and loved,
that they might, through him, see themselves."

I see where the story
Sexuality and Spirituality
could be part of The Seven Love Cures book.
This story is about Harpo meeting Mary.
Harpo was celebate for about four years when he met Mary.
