Day for Self Love
Returning to my direct connection
to Mother Earth. It is essential for me.

Today is Valentine's Day
and also in the Jewish Mystical Tradition--
The Birthday of the Trees, called Tubishvat
I went to the garden yesterday for the first time
in many months. I started to trim back the Job's tears,
cutting away dead branches.
I want to rekindle my direct connect with
Mother Earth as a Source of my Higher Power--
or rather "inspired" power.
I have been putting too much pressure on
a woman to be my connection with this source.
I noticed the last two days that when
my energy was leaking out, I immediate starting
to yearn for the the Woman who represented
my connection to feeling Vital energy.
I am looking at my own connection to Vital Energy
this morning...ways to direcly access this for myself.

I am All Things to the Earth
Feeling my Self inside me,
I am consummated by the earth.
I'm seeking intimacy with myself first,
that I might learn to be intimate with others
and intimate with the earth under my feet.
I am all things to the earth
and she is all things to me.
I make love to her. I am her husband.
I am her midwife.
I am the new babe springing out of her endlessly.
She helps me go beyond the places where
I have felt stuck growing.
I feel how everything natural grows through contact
with her. I mature through contact with her.
I protecdt her because I love her.
I speak out in her behalf.
She fills my voice.
I become wise in her presence.
