This New Moon is conjunct Mercury, heightening the mental possibilities. A strong emphasis on logic, rationality-and sudden flashes of insight-is present. This is an auspicious time to use our thinking caps-particularly in regard to any matters that are a bit unconventional or involve radical change, new technology, or humanitarian perspectives. Saturn is opposite this New Moon, reminding us to keep one foot on the ground. We are seeking a balance between the intellectual, detached side of life and the passionate, emotional, committed side of life. We are apt to feel very deeply about those closest to us, and may feel extra tension between what we want (Mars) and their desires and needs. Sharing power, possessions, and pleasures for mutual gratification is the challenge. If we are tempted to play dictator, finding a competitive outlet or getting involved with political action offers healthy alternatives.
