A note from the Director...
In a thousand years, we may be looking back on this last century as one of the most disastrous in terms of its long-range effects on the planet. If the current environmental crisis continues, we may be in even bigger trouble in the very near future.
Our modern day health care technology based medicine is on the verge of collapse.
Yes, you know it- you have read and heard it before: A third of us are clinically obese. The statistics on cancer, heart disease, asthma, diabetes mount each year and continue on the increase. Osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, ulcerative colitis are now so common that people think it is just usual for humans to have these conditions! Television commercials, slick magazine adverts promoting expensive drugs and ever increasing health insurance…poisoned air, harmful electro magnetic fields and radiations, lifeless fluoridated water, building designs that make us sick…
What can we do? The first step is simply to recognize and become aware that the present environmental attitudes are not conductive to our health, then we can actually do something to change the situation.
