Essiac  Nature's Cancer Treatment!

Lately I have concentrated my research on "Essiac", one of nature's cancer treatments (cures).  I have started taking some on a daily basis not because I have cancer and not because I want to prevent it but the herbal ingredients in "Essiac" have fantastic liver detox abilities and are a good overall tonic for the body.

This "Essiac" treatment is like a tea or herbal decoction.  It is a combination of the following organic herbs: Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm Bark, and Rhubarb Root.  

Burdock Root - Is used for ailments and complaints of the gastrointestinal tract as a diaphoretic and diuretic and for blood purifying and immune support.

Sheep Sorrel - In addition to being a part of a treatment for cancer, Sheep Sorrel is used to relieve internal ulcers. This herb is a mild diuretic, mild antiseptic, and a mild laxative. It can be applied externally to help clear skin problems such as eczema, ringworm, and herpes. Sheep Sorrel juice extract from the fresh plant can be used to treat urinary and kidney diseases.

Slippery Elm Bark - May be used in gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcer, enteritis, colitis and the like.  It is a useful remedy for urinary problems such as chronic cystitis.  Slippery elm has been used to treat all manner of chest conditions and has a soothing effect on everything from coughs and bronchitis to pleurisy and tuberculosis.  The powdered bark, commonly known as slippery elm food.

Rhubarb Root - It contains properties which have a purgative effect, and tannins and bitters which have the opposite effect.  If taken in small quantities the tonic, apparent effect predominates and it is therefore useful in cases of appetite loss and acute diarrhea.  Used to treat constipation, dysentery, hemorrhoids, portal congestion, pin/thread worms, skin eruptions from faulty elimination, blood in the stool and duodenal ulcers.  It has a truly cleansing action upon the gut, removing debris, and then astringing with antiseptic properties as well. It is used externally to promote healing, counteract blood clots and promote menstruation.  Stronger doses are laxative after 8-10 hours and are used to treat chronic constipation.

Together these herbs make a mighty powerful cancer treatment.   However unlike conventional therapies such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery it is not invasive and will not kill the whole body, just the cancer cells.

Nobel prize winner Dr. Linus Pauling noted in his book "Vitamin C" -- The Common Cold and Flu", that autopsies performed on people who had never suffered from cancer, revealed evidence that they had as many as three cases of cancer during their lives and never knew it. He credited a healthy immune system for automatically dealing with the disease -- an observation that underlines the importance of the immune system in eradicating cancer or any other disease that afflicts humans. Simply stated, the immune system rests with the white blood cells that are produced in the thymus gland which is centered behind the upper chest plate, and the bone marrow.  

That remark just proves that we shouldn't want or need to kill the whole body to kill cancer, a healthy immune system can do all on it's own.  However if the immune system is not healthy I would recommend this "Essiac" herbal formula.

The founder of "Essiac" is Rene Caisse.  She was a modest Canadian nurse that discovered a natural herbal formula that she claimed and proved help Cancer sufferers, yet she took no money for it and died in relative obscurity.  She helped restore hope to the hopeless, and many claim she restored health and life where only death was left. She helped hundreds both in body and soul — such was her giving way.  She found out about this herbal preparation when caring for a lady in a Northern Ontario Hospital.  As she was bathing this patient she found a mass of scar tissue on one of the breasts.  So Nurse Caisse asked about it.  Here is what she found out from the patient:

"I came out from England nearly 30 years ago." she told me. "I joined my husband who was prospecting in the wilds of Northern Ontario. My right breast became sore and swollen, and very painful. My husband brought me to Toronto, and the doctors told me I had advanced cancer and my breast must be removed at once. Before we left camp a very old Indian medicine man had told me I had cancer, but he could cure it. I decided I’d just as soon try his remedy as to have my breast removed. One of my friends had died from breast surgery. Besides, we had no money."  She and her husband returned to the mining camp, and the old Indian showed her certain herbs growing in the area, told her to make a tea from these herbs and to drink it every day. She was nearly 80 years old when I saw her and there had been no recurrence of cancer.

Nurse Caisse was so intrigued and interested in this story that she wrote down the herbs, and thought to herself that if she ever developed cancer she would use them to treat herself.  This was in the 1920's and she knew that at that time when a person was found to have cancer the doctors just threw up their hands, and didn't know what to do.  She thought and knew she had some very useful information.

About a year after that incident, Nurse Caisse was visiting a retired doctor.  As they strolled through his garden he plucked up a root and exclaimed, ""Nurse Caisse," he said, "if people would use this weed there would be very little cancer in the world." He told her the name of the plant. It was one of the herbs her patient named as an ingredient of the Indian medicine man’s tea!

A few months later she received word that aunt had been operated on in Brockville, Ontario. The doctors had found she had cancer of the stomach with a liver involvement, and gave her at the most six months to live. Rene hastened to her and talked to her doctor. He was Dr. R.O. Fisher of Toronto, whom she knew well because she had nursed patients for him many times. Rene told him about the herb tea and asked his permission to try it under his observation, since there was apparently nothing more medical science could do for her aunt. He consented quickly. Rene obtained the necessary herbs, with some difficulty, and made the tea.

That aunt lived for 21 years after being given up by the medical profession. There was no recurrence of cancer. Dr. Fisher was so impressed he asked to use the treatment on some of his other hopeless cancer cases. Other doctors heard about  from Dr. Fisher and asked Nurse Caisse to treat patients for them after everything medical science had to offer had failed. They too were impressed with the results. Several of these doctors asked  if I would be willing to use the treatment on an old man whose face was eaten away, and who was bleeding so badly the doctors said he could not live more than 10 days.  "We will not expect a miracle," they said. "But if your treatment can help this man in this stage of cancer, we will know that you have discovered something the whole world needs desperately — a successful remedy for cancer." The "Essiac" treatment stopped the bleeding in 24 hours. He lived for six months with very little discomfort.

Wow.  What testimony to the power of this herbal formula.  There is more to what this Nurse did though.  Read on...

Initially the results from using this "Essaic" formula were so impressive that doctors Nurse Caisse had worked with started to support and back her work in this area.  From what those doctors saw with their own eyes, eight of them signed a petition to the Department of National Health and Welfare at Ottawa, asking that I be given facilities to do independent research on my discovery. Their petition was dated at Toronto on October 27, 1926, read as follows:

To Whom It May Concern:

 

We the undersigned believe that the "Treatment for Cancer" given by Nurse R.M. Caisse can do no harm and that it relieves pain, will reduce the enlargement and will prolong life in hopeless cases. To the best of our knowledge, she has not been given a case to treat until everything in medical and surgical science has been tried without effect and even then she was able to show remarkable beneficial results on those cases at that late stage.

We would be interested to see her given an opportunity to prove her work in a large way. To the best of our knowledge she has treated all cases free of any charge and has been carrying on this work over the period of the past two years.

She was extremely pleased at the confidence these doctors showed in her work.  However Nurse Caisse's joy was short-lived. Soon after receiving this petition, the Department of Health and Welfare sent two doctors from Ottawa to have me arrested for "practicing medicine without a license".

Doesn't it just figure?  (Government always knows best...)

That was just the beginning of 50 years of persecution from the mainstream medical mafia.  (or those that thought they had authority)  When these two doctors sent from Ottawa, found that she was working with nine of the most eminent physicians in Toronto, and was giving treatment only at their request, and under their observation, they did not arrest her.  (Thank God)  One of those two doctors actually became quite interested in her work, and the herbal formula that was curing and sustaining cancer patients.  From 1928 through 1930 it was arranged that Nurse Caisse be given laboratory privileges to run trials with the "Essiac" Formula. The mice were inoculated with Rous Sarcoma. She kept the mice alive 52 days, longer than anyone else had been able to do, and in later experiments with two other doctors, she kept mice alive for 72 days with "Essiac".  Those are some pretty impressive results!

Even with those trials and so many doctors supporting her work, she still continued to be persecuted.  Quite often she would find well meaning health officers at her door step with warrants to arrest her for practicing medicine without a silence.  She never dreamed of the opposition and the persecution that would be against her just for trying to help suffering humanity with no thought of personal gain.

Rene Caisse eventually ended up in a central Ontario town and was allowed to open a cancer clinic where she gave the "Essiac" treatment. Hundreds received "Essiac" at Nurse Caisse's Bracebridge clinic and in the late 1930's, there was a lot of public pressure to have it recognized by the medical profession as a cancer cure.  The provincial government's Cancer Commission formed in 1938. In 1939 it released a report recognizing only limited benefits from "Essiac" in the treatment of cancer. The Commission refused to acknowledge it as a cancer cure and demanded to know the ingredients before allowing the herbal tea to be tested further. Nurse Caisse refused to release her formula for the "Essiac" and continued to do so until she handed it over to the Resperin Corporation.  Throughout her long struggle with the Cancer Society and the medical profession in general, Nurse Caisse insisted that if she were to hand over the formula to the medical establishment, her cancer treatment would be shelved forever.

All I can say is what a brilliant and selfless lady.  Imagine giving so many years of your life to help cure and treat individuals of cancer, with no cost to the patient!  I think it tells a very loud but silent story, when you actually realize that the government tried repeatedly to shut this operation down.  Why on earth would anyone want to shut down an operation that is giving life and enhanced quality of life to hundreds upon hundreds of individuals?  Well of course because these sick individuals were ceasing to make money for the government medical establishment.  They felt threatened!

As for me and my opinion.  I would choose "Essiac" any day instead of the death that is caused by mainstream medicine for the treatment of cancer.
