Much of our traditional healing knowledge and personal health empowerment has been lost over the years, as medical advances and “letting the doctor handle it” have become our way of life. Having surrendered personal responsibility for our health at the altar of technology, we have witnessed the emergence of a global conglomerate “sickness industry” that is so pervasive that health care is now possessed with the lucrative business of treating illness rather than promoting health.
Medical schools no longer adequately teach disease prevention or proper diet and exercise as an integral component to health. Once intimate patient/physician relationships have given way to impersonal processing via diagnostic tests and data analysis leading to pharmaceutical disease management. We have all been conditioned to demand a quick fix that will mask our symptoms and provide immediate relief while creating new symptoms and progressively undermining the foundations of our health.
Heaven forbid one should find themselves besieged with a debilitating chronic illness that defies the current doctrine of the medical establishment. Personally, I experienced that nightmare and the realization that with serious disease, conventional medicine can only go so far before major expense outweighs the value of the treatment or the insurance costs.
And so I discovered the undeniable fact that “the doctor cannot always handle it.” My research into many wide ranging aspects of health and nutrition have me fully persuaded that health is an ongoing process that must be approached holistically (mind, body and spirit) through a systematic restoring and maintenance of the human bioterrain.
The concept of biological terrain was developed over a hundred years ago in France. At that time there was a fierce intellectual battle going on concerning the true cause of disease. Louis Pasteur argued that germs were the sole and only cause of human disease. Claude Bernard argued that both disease and germs emerged only after the internal milieu or chemistry of a person was out of balance. Obviously, Pasteur’s germ theory won out and has become the dominant paradigm in medicine. It is said that Pasteur recanted on his deathbed and admitted that Bernard was right, that “the microbe is nothing, terrain is all.”
The truth is, the properly nourished human body is a healing system beautifully designed to meet most of its problems without outside intervention. I have personally experienced that with appropriate support, lasting recovery can and does occur naturally. The purpose of this blog is to share with others what I have learned along the way and to inspire and empower them to reclaim their lives and productivity.
For those who are afflicted with one of the toxic diseases that are becoming pandemic in these last days and who are otherwise without hope, the very first thing this blog intends to do for you is to introduce you to a resource where you will find compassion, life changing information and nutraceutical support product education. in the form of the Burgstiner Wellness Protocol, I advocate for Logos Nutritionals, where I found the confirmation of all that I had learned about the science of bioterrain restoration and the natural advancement of health and vitality.
Last but certainly not least, I must assert the profound truth that all healing is mediated by the divine wisdom that dwells within all of creation. I celebrate and give thanks for the provision, protection and freedom that is found in relationship with our Creator through His son Jesus Christ, and will endeavor always to bring honor and glory to Him through this work.
