Here is an updated picture of Max our cat. Even though he has a nice, comfortable bed, he loves to nap here in the bathroom sink! You can see how much he has grown in just a couple of months from this older kitty picture of him here:

This month has been a mass of art-making. I've been making a bunch of Holiday cards and this month's assemblage. After viewing a YouTube video of Robert Rauschenberg cardboard assemblages I decided to do my own version. Now that I have done one, I have other ideas on making other assemblages that use cardboard in them. I rather like the idea as cardboard lends itself into many forms and concepts.
Also, I'm still receiving "chants" from Spirit. After much thinking about this, I have added the idea of "spoken word" to the title of whatever messages I'm getting. I'm getting bits of stories and poems in addition to my own writings/poems. Since I do NOT sing, do NOT perform, and do NOT let images of myself out in public, I am puzzled as to WHY I am getting this stuff. Big question!
Then there was the issue of the washboard (to make music with, not to wash clothes with!): I ordered it online but when it arrived it was very small and I got really upset and decided to send it back. I found the cost to send it back was so high it would not pay to do that. So I still have it. I'm still wondering why, why do I keep discovering more "spoken words" that I could use in some performance that may just be in my own imagination.
Our city is having the annual Art Walk this next weekend and I will be showing my new cardboard assemblage. It will be interesting to hear comments about something so "out of the box"!
