THERE IS ALSO A DROPBOX ON MY IMAC.
I am not sure if it automatically sync with the one online. I had to copy the photos I wanted between the Dropbox albums on the iMac and online.

I DID LEARN TO COPY PHOTOS INTO AN ALBUM, AND THEN INTO A SHARED FILE ON THE IMAC.
This was a breakthrough. One of the few I had all day.
THOUSANDA OF PHOTOS ON THE DESKTOP MAC; HOW TO REMOVE MANY OF THEM?
I am making slow progress.
I did not know I uploaded them.
I can now see them and the select button, but what to do to eliminate the rest?
How to deselect specific photos I might want to keep?
Yikes! frustrating!
IPHONE DELETING
I started to delete some of them.
They are still on the iMac, even though i deleting them on the Iphone.

I spent many hours deleting iPhone Dropbox Photos today, January 24,2017.
This was after working on the desktop for many hours as well.
Working to delete photos from Dropbox was a nightmare.
There appeared to be repeats of many of the photos.
I was fighting the app, it seemed.
I kept deleting the photos, and then it seemed the same photos showed up over and over again.
I imagine the app is broken or something, but I kept persisting to see if I could do this.
Many were listed as DATE MISSING.
This were where there were batches of the same photos over and over.
SYNCING BETWEEN THE IMAC AND THE IPHONE
The iPhone and iMac do not seem to be syncing.
I would think that if I delete from the Iphone, these would delete on the iMac.
I am not sure that syncing was happening.
DROPBOX ON BOTH IPHONE AND IMAC SEEM TO JUST HAVE PHOTOS FROM
A FEW YEARS AGO.
This was upsetting to have to look at some of these old photos.
I kept attempting to delete them. The same photos showed up over and over, and then
there were some very old photos from previous years that would intermittently show up.
I do have have a clue where it was pulling photos from.
HOW ABOUT THE CURRENT PHOTOS?
Dropbox does not seem to have current photos of the last two years..
iMac does not have photos either from the last few years.
SUPPORT HELP SEEMS WEAK
There appears to be a large community, but I have not yet experienced how to get support.

END OF THE DAY ASSESSMENT
I was persistent.
This took a lot of my energy.
My Eyes are weary, and strained for so many hours
of work on Iphone Dropbox.
There may be something that lets me add a photo to Dropbox...
I will check that...
I do not think it syncs automatically.
I do nto have more time to invest on this...
Other important things to do.
