Before you even apply makeup to the face it’s really important to hydrate and prep the skin.

I love Dr LeWinn’s Instant Beauty Radiance Booster and have kept this product in my kit for years as it hydrates the skin beautifully and primes the skin for foundation all in one step.
For the eyes I used Doctor Renaud Apple Anti-Tiredness Eye Care, it’s tricky to find in the UK now but I love the light texture underneath makeup.
Let the skin prep products sit for a few minutes to get absorbed, you want the skin to be hydrated and slightly tacky to touch. Now you are ready for makeup!
I love the radiant finish of Laura Mercier’s Candle Glow Soft Luminous Foundation, it wears beautifully and comes in a wide array of shades to suit all skin tones.
The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush is a great tool for applying the foundation and helps buff the foundation into the skin.
For those wanting more coverage try using the MAC 190 Foundation Brush to apply the foundation and pat the foundation into areas requiring more coverage.
After the foundation is applied use a concealer to perfect areas that need more work like under the eyes, the corners of the nose, and any blemishes the foundation hasn’t manage to hide.
The Eco Tools Concealer Brush (part of the Six Piece Starter Brush Set) is a great synthetic brush to use with creamy concealers like the NARS Radiant Cream Concealer which I patted on imperfections.
To set the makeup I used MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural applied with the Eco Tools Powder Brush (from the same set previously mentioned), I love this powder and how it mimics the natural glow of healthy skin – this is perfect for a bride to have for touch-ups through out the day.
Brows are such an important part of any makeup look, brows need to flow with a makeup look and not be the first thing you see coming down the isle.
I am in love with NYX Micro Brow Pencils, they are great for drawing in hairs and creating soft, natural brows.
I also used Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel to define and hold brows into place, this stuff does not budge and wears all day.
Two ensure the eye makeup lasts all day I have prepped the eyed with MAC Paint Pot in Painterly all over the lids with the Eco Tools Eyeshadow Brush (from the same set previously mentioned).
The Paint Pot also takes down any redness on the lids and can also be used to brighten darker eye lids.
I love Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette for bridal looks, this particular one work really well on fair to medium complexions and has the perfect balance of matte, pearl, and metallic neutral shades.
For the look I used “Strange” all over the lids and in the socket I applied ‘Limit’ with the MAC 217 Brush.
I then applied ‘Liar’ from the Naked 3 Palette on the lids only to add a pop of colour with a flat eyeshadow brush.
I then used ‘Dusk’ in the inner corners to brighten the eyes, Zoeva does a great pencil brush that you can use for this.
For added sparkle I also pressed some of ‘Trick’, the bronze metallic shade into the central part of the lid – this can be done with a brush or with fingers.
Lastly to softly define the eyes I applied ‘Nooner’ to the lower lash line with the MAC 212 Brush, wiggling the brush into the lash line so there are no gaps in the line.
I then added ‘Black Heart’ from the palette on the top lash line as a soft liner with the same MAC 212 Brush.
I then lightly curled the lashes with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, followed by a good application of Eyeko Rock Out Mascara.
I applied Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow to the complexion to add a golden glow with a subtle highlights to the complexion.
I used the MAC 129 Brush to apply the bronze shade around the hairline, hollows of the cheek and jawline. I then used a fan brush to apply the highlighting shade to the cheek bones, apples of cheek, bridge of nose, and then added a little to cupids bow of lips with a smaller brush.
To sculpt the complexion further I used Ciate Palm Island Bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks with the same MAC brush.
On the apples of the cheeks I applied MAC Pro Long Wear Blush in Blush All Day with the same MAC Brush.
