Testing time
Specimens sent to the lab. Misc. thoughts on pumpkin seed oil and beet juice.
Date: 12/8/2015 8:24:25 PM ( 9 y ) ... viewed 1047 times I received a vial today from the Parasitology Center. I stuffed it full of critters, top to bottom. I also included 2 sheets of 4 photos each along with a letter pleading for assistance. Their information said that it would take 3-5 business days to process the specimens. They will arrive on Thursday, so I expect to hear back from them late next week. They send the results to my Dr. only. I have requested that they identify the specimens by the pictures so I can monitor how effectively any treatment is working.
I also believe that members of my family may be infested too. Where the critters come from will be instrumental in knowing which of my family members are infested. I live alone but have traveled in the past few years with family.
I discussed the need for daily sheet washing with my Dr. He said that is necessary with pinworms. I don't have those. They are the most common parasite and little children get them frequently.
I am off meds for the next week except for the diatomacoeus earth. I consider myself to be a highly sensitive person and taking meds with wormwood, a poison. was really hard on me. I am going to try taking frozen pumpkin seed oil capsules in a few days. I did some research on the internet. Pumpkin seed oil is used in culinary applications and the normal use is 1-2 tablespoons per person per day. The capsules are approx. 7 capsules to one teaspoon. That means to get to a tablespoon, I would have to take 21 capsules. In my usage of frozen cod liver oil, I have only taken up to 8 capsules and they are the same size at 1000 mg each. I commonly take 1 tablespoon of cod liver oil orally, so I may try increasing my dose the next time of the frozen capsules.
I keep thinking about beet juice and its effects on the liver. My guru recommends eating only beets for one week as a cleanse. Is there a correlation between drinking beet juice and eliminating parasites? Perhaps it is simply an aid. Perhaps I will do an experiment with pumpkin seed oil and beet juice. Or just one or the other and then the combo. Effects seem to occur 24-36 hours after ingestion. Too many holiday parties ahead to want to do a lot of testing. I am very afraid of having an 'accident' at a very inconvenient time.
I will post the results from the lab tests of the specimens when I get them.
Feeling much better as my cold abates and the meds wear off. Feeling as though my body is lighter and healthier.
