Attention of many Non-GMO, Organic and Fair Trade Activists in July turned to Washington where House Resolution 1599 was approved. "Known as the Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act to supporters and the DARK (Deny Americans the Right to Know) Act by critics" the Bill aimed to outlaw states rights to Label Genetically Engineered Foods, and do much, much more.
The Bill, that was geared up to go before the Senate and President Obama likely some time in August, will coincide with the Journey to Win Back our Sacred Seeds.
Regardless of what a handful of elected representatives do, I see our task continuing to grow a grassroots movement. that harvests our Rare Seed Nature through getting our Beat back with Nature. I call this "Beet Keepers Return. Along the route, we will help Plant Your Dream in a pot where the beat grows. I see consumer rejection of GMO foods. We we support the companies that honor Non-GMO, Organic & Fair Trade.
