The description of it is as follows.

It was made as the vast desert of Jurassic was hardened by the action of iron oxide or calcium carbonate.
The sandhill had ups and downs by dint of the wind.
They are seen in the eastern part of the rock in this park.
The herringbone pattern was produced by the wind.
The vertical lines are the crevices which were produced by the expansion and contraction owing to the change of temperature.
The change of the direction of the wind produced the discontinuity of sandhill.

If so, why the surrounding rocky mountains are not the same with Checkerboard Mesa?

I think this photo was taken from inside the car.
Such a shape can't be made naturally when we compare it with the surrounding rocks, I suppose.

Many traces of chipping off the arch which is still in the middle of production are seen.

Zion 2
Though this is nothing but a part, the things like high fences are standing in a row.
It seems that those high fences are standing on the neatly piled a few stage bricks.
Sirius seemed to have taught architecture technology to humans.
