"What we are doing here is bigger than all of us, but not so big that we can't make a difference"--Richard Passo, Seed Library of Las Vegas, August 22, 2014; 9:55 am, phone conversation
I am a man going on 67 in route to the National Heirloom Expo, September 9,10, 11. I have bowel complaints. I have arthritis complaints. I would cramp up on the road without a lovely product from science that releasing energy and helps me overcome cramps when I drive long distances. I have a 68 VW Van I call the Enchanted Garden Mobile. This remarkable vehicle carried me to the National Heirloom Expo the last two years. I am counting on the Grace that it will get me there again. In all honesty, I am getting too old to take these on the road risks. I wish I had the where with all and the time to rent a an appropriate vehicle, but then because of my stiff body, my partner Nadine would be the only driver. That would not work. The insurance would also be an issue.
That is not what I wanted to write about, on this the last morning before our departure.
I wanted to write about a choice we who eat face today.
We can grow some of our own food. We can let others grow our food for us.
I believe we have to do both.
It is our birthright to grow some of our own food. It is an American Ideal. It is following in the footsteps of our Founding Gardener Presidents.
We are in a state now where Uncle Sam is married to Gmo's. We are in a state where too much of the room in the one pot we all live in is taken up by members of humanity who believe that they can profit from food, and questions of ethics need to be looked at.
An insight from an Enchanted Gardener going on 67 in route to the National Heirloom Expo 2014:
The Door is Open
The two systems are clearly on the table now…and if not…I am going to help Plant Clarity so anyone who is looking can see the choices.
The key is Dialogue….
Here are the two choices…

Thanks for sending this link and attempting to correct the facts. From what I could see, the information that you have regarding my statements, and the library’s actions are correct.

A NATIONAL CONVERSATION ABOUT SEED SAVING, SUPPORT FOR SEED LIBRARIES, AND GMO EDUCATION
This is what I see coming out of all we are doing here.
There are two systems going on….seeds in the hands of the few…
Seeds and Food Democracy in the hands of the many…

I was very discouraged late Friday afternoon. I spent a big part of the day having some of my attention on leaks in our water system at the house, and another big portion concerns about leaks of water from my bowel.
I went to see James Darcy O'Sullivan, who reminded me that he was a sponsor of my upcoming trip that begins this Tuesday to the National Heirloom Expo, Sept 9, 10, 11, 2014.
I have been having these extreme body leaks for days and days and the bowel condition has lasted since July when I went to hot springs nearby. I can't explain what really happened there an the effect it had on my body.
I was feeling ready sad. I was overcome with feelings that maybe I better surrender to not going on this trip. Whenever I talk to my niece Eva, she also expresses her concerns about driving up there to Santa Rosa from San Diego in my 68 VW Van, The Enchanted Garden Mobile.
Rental of another van would is something I do not understand how to do, and the details are too much on my plate now.
Mike, at Mike's Foreign Auto, my expert Mechanic, reassures me the EG Mobile can physically make it, but he tells me that for peace of mind, when he takes a long trip beyond 50 miles, he rents another vehicle.
Working with the Pizza Boxes
Today is Saturday this is a very important numbers of hours up ahead. I want to assemble the Pizza Boxes that I will have for my trip, and for my class that is scheduled for 11:30 Tuesday, September 9, in Kraft Hall at the Sonoma Fairgrounds Santa Rosa, CA.
I made my bed just now.
I went out to the EG Mobile.
Nadine, my partner, was running off to work. I broke open the box of flyers from the expo. I wanted to get a picture of Nadine with the flyer but the lighting isn't good.

I want to find my Rekindling of Faith poem and put it here
This is what I found so far:
This reminds me that we have a crop of Job's Tears in the wine barrels that represent the beginning of the Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Outpost.
