This is from a Face Book Post by a concerned Christian woman; who brings together a very good argument as to the use and explotiation of mainly women and to certain point children! Excellent post and point of view!

As many of you know, I've been taking an active and vocal stand on a number of thorny ethical issues like p o r n o g r a p h y, especially as they affect the Christian community.
I've working on developing discernment about the "degree" to which certain behaviors are "normal" and "acceptable" and how to make that determination fairly. I am blessed with many friends who share my worldview, whether you are a professed Christian or not.

I appreciate your thoughtful comments and feedback on the following questions:
1. When are "dirty" jokes acceptable?
Examples: Are they acceptable if they are told privately, as opposed to publicly?
- Are they acceptable if the joke concerns or glorifies the body parts of the opposite sex?
- Or are they acceptable if the joke is about a sexual act?
If the joke is about married sex or married couples, does that make it ok?
- Is it ok to joke with married people about extramarital sex?
- Is it ok to joke with married people in a way that glorifies lust?
2. What kind of entertainment is appropriate for someone who has chosen to guard against lust?
Examples: Are R-rated movies which include sexual acts and frontal nudity appropriate, although society doesn't label these movies p 0 r n o g r a p h i c?
- Is nudity in a movie ever appropriate, even when it is not "gratuitous" and is fully integrated into the plot and not portrayed in a provocative way (i.e. certain crime scenes.)
- What about sitcoms that primarily glorify premarital and extramarital sex or that regularly feature scantily clad women?
To be clear, I am not advocating a "ban" of movies or jokes or TV. I simply want to develop discernment in line with a Christian worldview, without being overly dogmatic.
- I already have my own views regarding these questions, but I would sincerely like to hear THOUGHTFUL responses from others who also think about these issues.
- If you simply want to denounce me or "hate" on my faith or worldview, then save it. I've heard all the "hate" before and your angry opinion doesn't concern me.
The only opinion that matters to me is God's.
If you find my views so distasteful, I suggest you unfriend me instead.
* {personally the author does not agree with any view where people just give up and unfriend others!}
Thanks to all and may God richly bless you, my friends.
** end of Face Book Post!
