GARDEN MANAGEMENT JOURNAL
JANUARY 27, 2014

http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/Your_Enchanted_Gardener/CROSSING_BRIDGES_.jpg

Crossing Bridges--Through the writing this morning, I am crossing bridges. This photo driving across the Golden Gate Bridge in my 68 VW Van September 6, 2013, just came up in my Iphoto library. I was terrified to cross that bridge the year before and kept my eyes closed; I had a driver. A year later, I had to drive that bridge myself, and I could not afford to close my eyes. That is what I am doing here….crossing bridges, building bridges, challenging limits, calling upon strength. I am still on a Rekindlng of Faith Journey, and what I do in the world during now and the end of Spring is very important.

I was born to Blog. i am a writer by nature. There have been days lately when I have woken up with extreme stress very early in the morning. I have been attempting to live with others on a shared property since 1982. This has been one of the deepest challenges of my life. I am the manager and and i am the on site co-owner. The major investors in this experiment in Cooperative Living are two dear friends since the 80's. They are both very invested in wanting the best for our world. The primary owner has always been good with money, and has a good heart. If it were her choice, she would have sold this property in San Diego a long time ago when she moved on to other land projects, but it was my insistence that it be kept.

There is a tree holding on in the garden that was planted in the intention that this property might someday be part of my legacy to the surrounding community. The neighborhood is in deep re-invention. We live within walking distance of SDSU.

THE AZTECS BASKETBALL TEAM IS NOW #3, REPORTS CBS SPORTS, AND THE AP AND USA TODAY SAY #5

Within the last week, my energies have been drawn to the campus--where a Leed Certified Student Union--was just completed January 22. A few months ago, I started taking an active interest in the SDSU Aztec basketball team. I never was hooked in before by this game. The team has a pattern of nail biting victories and close battles on the court. hese days I am wondering if I have the emotional makeup to be an Aztec fan, and I plan to write about this theme. What began as a vacation for my mind at a time when I could not see victory at home, is adding one more dynamic to my life now: I really want the Aztecs to win. I was shaking inside, this past Saturday night when it looked like they might lose! That battle of winning and losing--perhaps echoes my own feelings about life at home. The outcome will not come easy for the results I want here/ I am needing to summon my utmost strength and resiliency. The same can be said of events in the world. It is important to live each day summoning our deepest truth, and recognizing that each day is precious. I want to be doing the right thing, no matter what the result.

CURIOUSLY, A YAQUI WISDOM KEEPER HAS ENTERED MY LIFE

http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/Your_Enchanted_Gardener/Kachora_Dancing_in_many_worlds_Leslie_Goldman_photo.jpg

Curiously, within the last ten days, when the Universe may have heard my calls for support, I attended the 100th Birthday of a Yaqui Wisdom teacher, Kachora. The even began with real Aztec Dancers, and ended with an invite planted in my head looking forward to a bounty of Spring events that include
The Natural Product Expo West, March 6-9 (March 5-10 for me); the Permaculture Voices event, March 13-16; and potentially (perhaps unlikely) attending the Danza De Primavera Kachora event in nearby Tecate, Mexico March 20-21-22-23, 2014.

I have all those preparations on my mind now, while at the same time, working through events at home, that feel dicey. There are moments when I am not sure how the scoreboard will read. I have to remind myself now, I have what it takes to play this game of playing house at home, and come out the other end healthy.

WORKING ON THE PHYSICAL FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE. A DRIZZLE FELL ON THE DAY RAIN GUTTERS WERE FINALLY SET UP

For the last year and a half, there has been a project to repair the physical foundation at the front of the house that has involved created a deep trench, now filled with gravel, and a rain gutter system that allows rain to be captured. We are in a drought condition in Souther California. There hasn't been any rain, or even a drizzle for many months. On the day, we completed this project, there was a drizzle. Scenes from that episode are included in a video I want to complete this week called: "How to End the Drought in Our Lives."

THE NEED FOR DEEP RE-INVENTION AT THE HOUSE

The house itself is in a deep need for re-invention. This is a 76 or more year old house in constant need of repair. Many of the repairs that are needed are an inside job, in other words, inside me and other residents.

THIS MORNING I WAS LISTENING TO A PODCAST BY PAUL WHEATON WHO WAS TALKING ABOUT INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO PERMANENT AGRICULTURE, AKA, PERMACULTURE

I am in the middle of significant steps for needed shifts at the house. Some of the shifts that need to be made our huge, and are reverberating inside me and churning up emotions including fear and anxiety. I am grateful for the tools that I have for healing that include Flower Essences Society Flourish remedies for the emotions, some deep community connections outside the house, and foremost, my ability to Plant Intentions with Ancient Wheat seeds and various Heirloom Seeds.

My work is called Plant Your Dream. I am a ceremonialist and understand how to speak nature--that is, when I am not consumed by Computer Time, or feeling the emotional shock waves that I am juggling now at the same time I am creating strategies and intentions for my Spring Activities.

Gratefully, it is taking time, as I am doing now, that helps me see my way through what I need to do. I am rising up through inspiration to find ways to break through from these breakdowns.

LIVING IN INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

I was just listening to a Podcast where Diego Footer, creator of the upcoming PERMACULTURE VOICES CONFERENCE March 13-16, 2014, located not far from Temecula, California here in So Call. This conference will be bringing in some of the most popular and exciting popular speakers for those who love the earth and imagine approaches to living in harmony with the earth. These techniques were given the name "Permaculture" by a man from Austraila named Bill Mollison. He wrote a popular book about permaculture called, Permaculture, A Designers Manual many years ago.

Many of the Permaculture Voices are new to me, although I am familiar with numbers of the names of the Keynotes at the very important event.

I heard Paul Wheaton talking very honestly about Intentional Community and its problems. I know these problems first hand. I met Diego Footer a few months back, and intend to help spread the popularity of Permaculture. That is an intention I will seed this morning on the day I will be in touch with Diego Footer.

Let's begin at the beginning: What is Permaculture and how does it dovetail with my own Enchanted Garden visions for growing a New World?

Permaculture Defined by Bill Mollison

Permaculture (permanent agriculture) is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and nonmaterial needs in a sustainable way. Without permanent agriculture there is no possibility of a stable social order.

Permanent design is a system of assembling conceptual, material, and strategic components in a pattern which functions to benefit life in all its forms.

The philosophy behind permaculture is one of working with, rather than against. nature; of protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless action; of looking at systems in all their functions, rather than asking only one yield of them; and of allowing systems to demonstrate their own evolutions."--Bill Mollision, from the back cover of an original edition of "Permaculture: A Designer's Manual."

I met Diego Footer, creator of the Permaculture Voices Conference, at the Permaculture Convergence at Sky Mountain Institute in November 2013. I could see the importance of this event. I told him about my relationship with Baker Creek Seeds. Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds are a sponsor of the Permaculture Voices Conference.

I met Diego Footer at Eldon Hough's Sky Mountain Institute in November 2013. It was Eldon who invited me to the event.

I am rebooking at my photos now, that come full circle with this Podcast by Paul Wheaton. The DVD he wants to fund now through Kickstarter was from an event last Spring 2013 on Eldon Hough's land.

BRINGING THE ENERGY OF THE PETALUMA SEED BANK AND THESE TEACHINGS TO LIGHT

http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/Your_Enchanted_Gardener/First_view_of_the_Petaluma_Seed_Bank_September_6.jpg

This was my first view of the Petaluma Seed Bank, the western state's headquarters of Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds on the morning on September 6, 2013. I left Simi Valley the late afternoon before and drove through the night on a journey to Rekindle Faith and challenge body fears. My Rekindling of Faith Journey continues through Spring 2014.

WHERE I STAND NOW

http://curezone.com/upload/Blogs/Your_Enchanted_Gardener/Petaluma_Seed_Bank_Window.jpg

We are living in a false economy, that is being mislead by science gone astray, that is bringing us incoherent systems that have no basis in good health, or medicine.

There is a marriage coming. It is a marriage between the deepest values of agriculture as expressed in Biodynamic farming and Permaculture Principles.
We deeply need a system of Permanent Agriculture in harmony with the earth as expressed through what we now call "Permaculture" that marries to the most advanced system of agriculture I know called "Biodynamic" principled farming, as expressed through "Rocket Stoves," and cow horns buried through the winter deep in the earth.

There is a marriage coming between a real economy based on ancient grains as expressed of Knorasan wheat and a resurgence of heirloom seeds that birth Enchanted Gardeners of dreams.

Through this marriage--winning back the Sacred Seeds inside ourselves, we will outgrow Fukushimas and Outgrow GMOs--that are merely symptoms of a great malady--the fragmentation that planting our souls in soil can Remedy.

True abundance comes from a deeper place. There is a marriage coming, It is a renewal within what we envision-- government that comes from the bottom up, from the land up, through people empowered in their dreams to grow again an America the Beautiful in honorable Co-Existence with all indigenous people, a Grass Roots movement that know How fast a Dream Can grow.

It is the Marriage of Uncle Sam to "Anti" GMO that is coming. It is a rising up of people who how it is in their ability to End the Drought in Our Lives.

We are not intended to lose sight of impossible dreams for a healthier world in spite of all we are seeing now.

Look deeper, the fields are ripe for planting and will bear first fruits again.

It is this I stand upon today as I imagine a Spring 2014 in the body of the world so deeply in need of clear and profound inspiration, and within my own body in need of deep and profound strength.
