Today is January 24, 2014.
Happy Birthday, Linda Hill…
I worked hard yesterday. Lots of time at the computer. I got two albums up. My goal was, in the face of the backdrop of things that need to change at home, I was able to turn my attention to one task that seemed daunting at the beginning of the day, but was accomplished by the end of the day:
I wanted to get my inspiration going for the Natural Product Expo West, March 6-9, 2014.
I also wanted to complete on getting my Press Pass.
I did both, and opened the door to a lot of other work for the show.
The show for me is March 5-10. I arrive a day early to get settled. I stay a day late.
MY DISCOURAGEMENT
When I look at events at home head on, I feel stuck.
These events have impending long range consequences for myself and
some of the people who live here now. It is difficult to focus I want I can accomplish in the work outside of home, when I feel so much pressure for change at home.
WHAT THE NATURAL PRODUCT EXPO IS FOR ME
This is an industry trade show that signals the beginning of my year of Campaigns. i see my sponsors. You can see most of them too on the Plant Your Dream Blog Wordpress in the Ads:

This Plant Your Dream Blog mentions a very important theme for me:
BIG STORY
The Influence of OFRF, OTA, and EXPOWEST On The GREENING of the Anaheim Convention Center
Back in 2006 or so, I first brought fresh organic herbs to Jim Tripp, head of the Aramark kitchen. I met Jim Tripp because OTA and OFRF chefs would interact each year in the Aramark Kitchen at the Anaheim Convention Center. I shared my dream to establish an herb garden at the Anaheim Convention Center. That Seed Dream was fulfilled in Spring 2012. They planted an herb garden! The Anaheim Convention Center is now known as one of the top Green Convention Centers in the world. This would not have been the current state if organic leadership and our chefs had not interacted with the Aramark Staff.

I planted this Seed Dream in 2006 with Jim Tripp. This year I will bring Jim some Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, and of course, my seed of the year, KAMUT® Khorasan Ancient Wheat.
JO DICKSON AND ME, LESLIE
Hooray! As a reward for what I did yesterday, in the late evening, I had a friend request answered from Jo Dickson, as well as connected with Jody Mason, on Facebook. Jody is one of the main coordinators.
