I agree..................I was completely qualified and they blew me off quickly, and have continuously run the same ad, I heard the same thing....(regarding age)....how sad. they used to be first choice for coffee, no more
I, along with several other "almost seniors" are encountering the same problem. I am personally boycotting any business transactions at several retail outlets that have engaged in age discrimination. The Employment Security Department and WorkSource are aware of the situation but have explained that we have zero recourse. We "almost seniors" should compare notes and collectively boycott all establishments that look beyond our experience for younger, less qualified applicants. Good luck with your job search. JSD
