Date: 12/2/2013 7:24:12 AM ( 11 y ) ... viewed 854 times I went to a jewish renewal potluck yesterday. I wanted to connect with some familiar safe Jewish faces in a Jewish context.
I had an unexpected opportunity to read a poem, but by that time in the gathering i was already speechless and dumfounded.
My goal was to avoid the latkas, the potatoes fried in oil that i sensed were toxic to my liver.
I was thirsty and did not know i would be taking my life into my own hands by downing a couple ounces of lemonade in a bottle from our local Trader Joe's
I had an intense sugar reaction. My ears began to throb and feel a candida response. I was starting to get that ringing in the ear that comes went I eat sugar.

Unfinished dedication to my forefather's
On the sixth day of Chanukah
during Christmas vacation,
I stopped by Max's Kosher Omaha Meat market.
It was cold outside; inside the Streits's trumps
were squeezed near the stuffed cabbage canned
Hebrew National and the gefilt fish sat near
the heat and eat which Max is headquarters for
according to the sign. The Rocheach fish chowder
New England Style sat in a lonely corner below
the advertisement for Cohen's knishes, golden blintzes,
and Lender's frozen bagels pre-sliced for future
Sunday brunch.
