24 hours of Blood and Mucous Only

Bright red bloody mucous AS stool

The last 24 hours I have had bright red bloody mucous instead of stool. This isn't from hemorrhoids ... I feel like I have to go and like it may be diarrhea, it feels like I'm going ..and having diarrhea, but when I look at the used T.P., there isn't any other color on it but a clear, gel like substance that is tinged with bright red. Upon observing the toilet, it looks like bright red blood gathered at the bottom of the toilet. There is no stool (as in solid stuff of any brown/green/orange or any other color), just the blood. Small amounts float on top of the water. I stirred the water in the bowl with a long stick (made from a plastic hanger for this purpose) and can see what appears to be 4 to 6 inch long clearish tubes that are bright red tinted along with the red stuff that colors the water briefly while agitated. This all sinks back down to the bottom of the toilet after the water calms down.
Yes, I know I should go to the E.R., but am waiting 2 1/2 months for my insurance to kick in. No, I haven't been eating stuff with red food dye. I haven't been eating too much of anything at all. Too much pain.
