Leslie's Talk Video -3rd Festival Traditional Medicine of the Americas
Take your deepest dreams out of the box.
This box to me represents a box that all of our dreams are inside,
and my hope and my dream and my pleasure today is that what we do today will give you the faith and the courage to open up this box and take your dream out.
Some people if we left the world to them, there would be one person
that all looked the same in the world that was easy to control.
There would be one corn, there would be one beet plant, there would be one lettuce plant, and everyone would be in a beautiful box on a shelf someplace, and then to give them pleasure, ever so often, they would check and make sure the boxes did what they were suppose to do, like get up in the morning and go to work and work as much energy as you have, and then after work, you would just have enough energy to go home and cook some pizza that was already prepared in the box, and then you would fall asleep, and get up the next day and repeat the cycle over and over and over; but that is not the purpose of this day, This is not what what Mother Earth wants from you; this is not what your beautiful mother and father had in mind when they came together as seeds and they made you as a little baby that they wanted to love and to give a beautiful world.
Everyone here came into the world to be loved;
and everyone in this circle, by the end of this day,
I am going to ask you to take your dream out of the package.
Look what Mother Earth Made for us!
There is not one kind of a corn in the world that Mother Nature made.
Look as an example of the variety of corn.
This is just an example of so many kinds.
So this is what I am saying of you today,
that we are going to Grow A Healthier Pizza, and everyone here is going to remember that they were born to grow some of their own food; and this earth made the most beautiful perfect technology and way of doing things, and my dear brother brother Brian, as an example,
he took us on a walk today where we saw the simple plants of the earth,
and every day of his life, he and I, we learn more about the earth, and how the perfect things are here for us, and this is the gift of the Mother Earth.
So I want to go around the circle. Please say your name because we are all family, and I want to do something very personal today.
I am going to give you a chance to say what your dream is;
and I want to leave today knowing that we are more intimate with this Mother Earth, and it gives the earth pleasure to know that each of us are different and unique and has a separate dream. and we are alive today to Plant Your Dream.
Some people think the purpose the food is to make money or make a profit,
but I say the purpose of food is to Plant Your Dream, and every unique food that we have is going to teach you how you need to know about being a better person when you plant your dream.
When you take open the package of your dream, and you start talking to the seeds, they are going to talk back to you, and as you plant your dream, you are going to learn to language of nature, and this language is part of being a human being, and this part of being a beautiful woman to speak the language of nature.
People, men and women are experts about planting seeds.
It comes with the territory of being human. We find someone we love,
and then we carry on the highest intention and aspirations of nature to make a new generation;
and every person in this circle has a dream, and your dream has to be something that is true to you in your heart, and when you take your dream out of the box and find the courage to plant it, and you go through the discouragement and when you are in a relationship and wake up some morning and say maybe, I don't belong in this relationship, those are the things that make us strong. and trusting the original inspiration of why we came together to put seeds together and make a new generation.
My dear friend Brian brought together wonderful teachers to this
3rd Festival of Traditional Medicine of the Americas.
One teacher told a story about how when the Spanish people came in boats to the new world, all the native people here were very, very strong; and the reason they were strong is because they grew some of their own food and they knew it was their nature to know the plants.
