Gut Swamp Decontamination--MyCommunity Mushroom Blend
Strange title? I spend time at the Natural Product Expo West--#expowest Twitter--with a most original thinker, Paul Stamets. His Business card says, "Mycologist"--that means someone who works with mushrooms, the fruit of a vast earth internet of interconnected intelligence called Mycelium.
Paul Stamets writes about the amazing earth internet of interconnection in his masterfully written book called "Mycelium Running." I received a signed copy from Paul himself. What a treasure this book is, and what a treasure to meet this man!
Paul Stemets is truly an original thinking. He is engaged--"be mushroomed"--to this very special life form that seems to truly offer Host Defense for our our species as well as Host Defense for the Earth herself.
Paul Stamets is really on to something. I heard him speak. You can hear him speak too through many Youtubes currently on the internet.
Paul described an experiment he did in his talk. These are the details as I heard them. The EPA, or another gov agency, issued Paul and his neighbors a notice that they had to install sewage systems on their property because runoff was contaminating the nearby waterway.
Paul decided, rather than put in a septic system, to decontaminate with mycelium. He planted some of his friends. Some time later--maybe a year-- the EPA showed to find out what Paul had done. His neighbors continued to have contamination issues. Paul has solved the problem. The EPA was very interested in his approach.
TAKING A LEAP IN UNDERSTANDING
So here is my thinking. If these mycelium--and their mushroom fruits--can decontaminate a waterway, what can to do to the gut?
What impact I wonder can they have on leaky gut syndrome and things like
bowel inflammation as a result of poor digestion?
HERE IS MY HISTORY AND MY CURRENT EXPERIENCE
For many years, I have had Inflammatory Bowel Disease. I get get the runs and they can last for years. I have been wearing a diaper type protective garment for numbers of years.
This winter I had lowered immunity for months. I was not sure I was going to make it to the Natural Product Expo West. Every time I came around someone, including my own partner, I felt like I picked up something.
I have been on a search for the answers.
I have added every imaginable remedy and some I never imagined.
The latest combination that seems to be working for me, and seems to be making a difference--are these mushrooms from Paul Stamets and his company called Host Defense and Fungi Perfecti.
I also want to say--I have also added a few other remedies that may be playing a part-- one is called Cold and Flu from my friend Cesar Torres, an acupuncturist. Another is Oregano Oil from Vitality Works, but I never experienced the results I am now having. I suspect it is the addition of the Paul Stamets products that are helping.
The one I started to use about three weeks ago is called MyCommunity. It is a blend of 17 mushrooms.
The texture of my bowel elimination is very much changed. I run toward runny. Now my eliminations are formed. The color has also changed. It is dark rather than light. I suspect the mushrooms are pulling toxins from my bowel.
I went through the entire Natural Product Expo West without cold symptoms. I was around many people.
The day after the show, I was hosted by a friend. Their daughter has some kind of cold. I woke up the next day with symptoms again; however, these did not last. I continued to take my remedies.
