MEDICINE TODAY: WHAT'S WRONG?

I had a few good hours this early morning. I escaped the what feels like the heavy burden of my 3D reality to make sense of projects I would like to be doing, if I did not feel weighted down by too many deep tasks and growth patterns that are troubling me.
I just brought down some phelm from my sinus. My head does not feel the strongest. I am going on six or more weeks of having my immune system down. I feel porous open to light symptoms of flu, and colds.
I attribute how good I feel to knowing a lot about natural medicines. My desk, indicative of my mind, is once again filled with spices, oils, aroma therapy, flower essences for the emotions, vitamin pills, and mineral isolates I am trying in an attempt to recover my strength. I have healing clay I have been drinking. I have MyVita Minerals from Utah.
Some of the Chinese Medicine Formulas seem to be among the best I have ingested, including two remedies suggested by Cesar Torres, a seasoned acupuncturist and healer who lives in Los Angeles.
His Cold and Flu Remedy I highly recommend. it is a formulation of his own with many ingredients. I an overdue to call him and order more this morning. In the last five days, I have had good results from little Yellow Tablets called Chaun Xin Lian.
My barometer of wellness are my tonsils glands on each side of my jawbone. These seem to respond within minutes to the remedies I take. I touch these glands and they tell how I am doing.
Terror Across the Canyon
I do not like feeling terror;yet the sound of some kind of tool that cuts plants at the root is bothering me now. It likely means they are using Round Up on the other side of the canyon, or could be.
GOING OUT ON FAITH
My season begins March 7--a travel day for the Natural Product Expo West. That date is getting too close to feel this way. I need to make expenditures _-$175.00 this morning to secure a seat at the Organic Center VIP banquet. I am not fully convinced I am going to recover by then.
The tickets will sell out if I do not take action. I waited too long to book my room. My regular motel--the Super Eight-- was full by the time I called them; luckily I have room across the street at the Riviera, but the Super Eight is a yearly security for me. I have fun playing with the Ron, who often is at the front desk when I arrive. It's a Ritual to intereact with him. To travel that distance and meet a family face right off, is stress relieving.

MEDICINE TODAY: WHAT's WRONG?
Medicine Today: What's Wrong with it? To even formulate those words is a breakthrough for me this morning. I was severely depressed yesterday, Sunday, the day I go to the Hillcrest Farmers' Market.
I attempted to retrieve my spirit through doing a creative project with Food As Medicine. I took some stunning photos of mushrooms to illustrate a theme that I picked up from Daphne. Dr. Andrew Weil mentioned her in his Keynote Friday night. I looked up the book he mentioned and it was a nugget of Gold. I looked up her name and came up with another nugget, an important article she wrote that begins with identifying the ill that can come from ingesting too many over the counter or perscribed drugs. The point she was making was that a simple soup of Ginger and Mushrooms were more likely to help.

What feels wrong with me, now?
I could on being magical. This is my M.O. I get ideas, ideas that have great power, and then in the act of doing them, I am fulfilled. Part of the magic comes when others respond to my ideas. That is my ultimate medicine.
Friday night and Saturday, Mini Guarneri connected with me
Friday night, Dr. Weil spoke. Being with the man was in itself a healing potion for me. He is part of the fabric of my Organic Center cloth. I have numbers of photos of him. We once sat at the same table. He was very supportive of a project I did for the Organic Center years ago when I went the distance to see that fresh picked organic strawberries made it to the banquet. I even had the farmer, Joe Rodriguez jr come. There is a photo of Joe and Andrew Weil.
My concern now? I showed myself I still have the ability to Dream. That happened Saturday when I returned to the end of the Scripps Conference. I gave Mini was special KAMUT ® Ancient wheat seeds and we planted a dream.
My Concern: Yes, I can Plant a Dream, but I do not have what stamina to pull one off--not now. This is disheartening.
Medicine Needs Help
I am very clear that medicine needs help. As Dr. Weil said in his talk, today most people equate and define Medicine with taking a Pharma Drug. I would go so far as to say, it is equally dangerous to define Good Medicine as taking a Pill, any kind of Pill.
We are in a sad state, very sad.
I know I can help.
I was here at the beginning of the Holistic Health Movement. San Diego was one of its birthplaces. The Mandala Conferences of the early 80's set the tone for the Medicine that was in the room 30 years later this past weekend at the Scripps 10th Anniversary Conference.
I had my first Enchanted Garden Installations there--rooms filled with plants and vital energy that rose up from the cement. That was where I met Dr. Robert Muller, who gave me a UN Peace Medal, in part because of the Healing Experience he had in that Enchanted Garden.
I know I have a rare and important gift to bring to the nurses and doctors of today through my Plant Your Dream work; but can I pull this off?
I am attempting to live in a mess of my own creation--shelves and shelves of Manuscripts and papers and archives. My computer tech is not strong. It freezes on a regular basis.
The burden of how to move forward is profound. My head is light, attempting to come to balance with a loved one very close, and the pressures of a desk and room still in deep need of attention.
Where do I begin?

"Just a cold? I thought I was dying." Martha sounded irritated.
She had hustled the kids off to day care and skipped work, clearly expecting to hear that something more dramatic was brewing than a late springtime cold. But what motivated her visit to my office, I realized, was not the infection itself as much as the dizzying array of symptoms caused by her self-administered treatments: The fatigue and stomach pain appeared to intensify with each dose of opioid-derived cough suppressant she chugged; as for her headache, dry mouth and racing heart, they coincided suspiciously with a decongestant that contained pseudoephedrine (a close cousin to methamphetamine).
Bolstered by a growing body of data and my own clinical experience, I opened my electronic medical record and entered a prescription that would give Martha relief without more side effects: mushroom ginger soup. The recipe sits right there on my screen, one click below morphine and one above mycostatin.
