John Hughes...met him at the North Park Farmers' Market, January 31, 2013. He is a big fan of Hami's Market Garlic Paste and Marinade.
John had fish from Alaska waters that were swimming in the ocean less than 24 hours ago, and here we were at the San Diego North Park Farmer.
He began fishing when he was 16, He lives in La Mesa, CA.

HOW WILL THE IMPORTANT OF GMO SALMON EFFECT HIS BUSINESS?
I want to write about that....
Within a few years, if people do nothing....one of the fish in our markets will be GMO Salmon with Eel genes.
The fish will be called Farm raised. It will be raised in Panama for, presumably to protect our environment for the possibility of escaped fish, but how about the impact on Alaska's Fishing Industry?
Industry has other thoughts for the land where Salmon now spawn.
I saw a film about this years ago....
