Natural Blood Transfusion
Future Blood transfusions
Date: 1/22/2013 2:37:30 AM ( 11 y ) ... viewed 1066 times I read that during WWII there was a great shortage of blood for transfusions in both the Pacific theatre and also in Europe. To deal with the blood shortage in the Pacific, raw unprocessed coconut water was used to help replace blood. A raw cocanut was hacked open, the cocanut water poured into an IV, and it was used that way. In the European theatre "Chloraphil" was used to replace blood, because cocanuts were not grown in Europe.
