Projects in the Science Classroom 2013 at Hami High School
In 2012, I was able to influence students through sharing ideas in the classroom and at the April 25, 2012 Medical Fair. The Fair was organized by students and my niece Eva Becker, a Science Teacher at Hamilton High School. I brought Organic Foods into the classroom a number of times. At the Medical Fair, we ground fresh whole grains of KAMUT ® Khorasan Ancient Wheat with students and we planted dreams. Later in the year, during the heat of the Prop 37 Debate, I returned to the classroom a few days before both sides of the question were debated. I gave my point of view to students and expressed why Labeling GMO’s was important. The students watched “Genetic Roulette” by Jeffrey M. Smith. They also heard from No from a Prop 37 spokesperson, and Pamm Larry, instigator behind Yes on Prop 37.
The work of influencing students will continue in 2013. I will return a few days after the Natural Product Expo West in March, and again in April for the BIO Fair, and later in the fall.

in 2012 I started a pilot project in the science classroom of Ms Eva Becker called to “Taste Organic!” Later in the Spring I returned and students did “Plant Your Dream” with KAMUT ® Khorasan Ancient Wheat. I had a display the science classroom “Growing a Healthier Pizza!” will return in 2013 with a number of experiences in the classroom and at the BIO Fair April 21, 2012.
