Parents and Offspring Companies--Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food Will Take a Look in Plant Your Dream Blog Series
Why Look at this?
One of the big distractions for me during the Yes on Prop 37 Caravan to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds was perseverating over the called for Boycott of Organic Companies who had Parent Companies that had contributed to No on 37.
One of our key leaders, Ronnie Cummins, who played a basic leadership role in the YES on 37 Campaign, named some of these "Offspring" Organic companies, who are owned by No supporting Companies, as "Traitor Companies."
I personally do not see this as a Black and White Issue. I want to spend time doing some Investigative Reporting. I would like this discussion to be one of themes that we take up on the Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food Facebook Page. All points of view will be welcomed to express. One of the rules is no spitting or cussing, although I recognize that tempers are high around this issue.
