you would lay down in whitch covered whole body except head or hot boxes used for many hours treat infections starting In year 1931 or 1932 in New York State.
hyperthermia in five hour treatmes . A fever cabinet was used which all but the head was covered so brain wouldn't get to hot.
It took 2 hour to raise the temperature above 41°C. which was then continued for 4-6 hours. Ice packs placed on Head and ice cube in mouth to keep head cool.
Treatments were given every third day and 5-6 treatments were usually required to effective.
