I am reminded today that the Caravan, September 1-10, to the National Heirloom Expo, September 11-13 begins 42 days from now.
I am reminded that my purpose now, and the work of Gary Hirshberg is to
continue Food Reform that was legislated by Congress more than 106 years ago,
but blocked by Special Interests.
March 11, 2011--That is a Day I will never forget, and all plants remember.

42 Days until take off for the Caravan, September 1-10, to the National Heirloom Expo, September 11-13, 2012 in Santa Rosa. California. I will be driving up in the EG Mobile, my 68 VW Van, the Little Engine That Could.
There is much planning to do. Yesterday was a grueling 15 hours at the computer. I downloaded a new version of Photoshop Elements 10 for the Mac. This went well.
I updated three Graphics. I still do not have a clue how much of this program works. I am thrown off by so many new unfamiliar things on my computer screen.
Today I will deal with getting functional on the Quicken Essentials and installing it on the iMac. It is dysfunctional on the MacBook Pro.

Sambazon on my Table
I got up with lots of jewels flowing through my mind, but I wanted to clear my desk some and then go to into the Enchanted Garden before addressing some of this.
I got a note for Skanda, my brother from Sambazon. We must met this last weekend at the Yoga Journal Conference in San Diego. I am touched by this man who by simply selling a good product is helping more than 10,000 indigenous people in Brazil save Rain Forests.
I did some ritual work with the Sambazon Superfood Amazon Co things I collected including a little ingenious wrist band that snaps around my favorite glass this morning. In it, I am drinking Sambazon Acai with some Yerba Mate and Guarana...uppers.
I generally have my best energy in the morning, but I seeing how the drink and my body like each other this morning.

Organic Alfalfa was our plant of 2011, honoring Sec of Ag Tom Vilsack following decisions from the White House to deregulate and allow the planting of GMO Alfalfa. A few weeks later, the Organic Uprising Campaign was born. Organic Alfalfa was planted and was our plant of the year. Gary Hirshberg and Stonyfield support planet causes. I received a contribution from Stonyfield for my work in 2011. In 2012, I have taken on the biggest project of my life, helping to inspire the '7.5 Million + 2' Petition on Change.org. This petition will grow the Greatest Grass Roots Movement in Califorina History to claim Victory November 6 for Prop 37, The California Right to Know-Ballot Initiative. I am inviting Gary Hirshberg to sign that Petition now. Gary is hot on the trail to Label It, an effort that got more than 1 million signatures summitted to the FDA earlier this year. Gary Hirdhbert, the Stonyfield Farm homer CE-YO who stepped down to in the last six months to be more active in his Activiist concerns, is blooming today. It was well over a year ago at the Natural Product Expo West that I brought a small container of Organic Alfalfa to a very auspicious meeting M.C'ed by Walt Robb, Co-CEO of Whole Foods Market.
If anyone questions the goodwill of Organic Corporate Leadership--Stakeholders as some call them--watch this video where the Organic Industry, still reeling in shock from the December meetings at the USDA, are gathering forces to say, Now is the Time to Take Action to Move Organic Forward.
On stage that day was Walt, who is a good hearted man and outstanding industry leader. Walt and I have been interacting for more than a decade at the Natural Product Expo West.
He helped get my little container onto the stage of this very important meeting.
Sitting next to Robb was Gary Hirshberg of Stonyfield Farm. I consider Gary an American Hero of Democracy, carrying forward in the tradition of Food Reform that I will be teaching in route to the National Heirloom Expo and at the National Heirloom Expo itself.
People do not yet realize that current expressions of the USDA and FDA--where they appear to be making making decisions in disharmony with the Beat of Nature and the best interests of our Children's Health--go back more than 106 years to the time when Dr. Harvey W. Wiley MD had the beautiful vision for a Food and Drug Administration that would instill a Pure Food Law and make misbranding of food and adulteration of food illegal.
The law passed and was called the Pure Food Law of 1906, but for the next six years, until the time that Dr. Wiley was pressured to resign his government position as head of the Bureau of Chemistry--Special Interests blocked every move he made to enforce the law as mandated by Congress.
Those Special Interests continue today, on this the 100th Anniversary of Dr. Harvey Wiley MD, stepping down for Gov Service.
Today I am talking up the Journey to Win Back our Sacred Seeds. I have been writing extensively about the Caravan and teachings for more than two months now on the Plant Your Dream Blogs.

To top off this pizza, we want to know the quality of our Ingredients. If pizza is made from cans and containers that have ingredients that are made with GMOs--Genetically Modified Organisms--We have a 'Right To Know,' and say "Label GMO's!" just like people in near 50 other nations. Together now, the people of California--with support from people of other states and nations signing as well--will build the Greatest Grass Roots Movement in California History. Millions of Californians are without their knowledge eating GMOs every day. GMOs are Genetically Modified Organisms. They have been in our food for a number of decades. Somebody thought this was O.K. to include GMOs in the daily foods we eat, but did not take the time to ask us first if we wanted them there. Near 50 nations of the world have the integrity to give their people choice to know if they are eating GMOs in their corn, soy, and a host of other foods, but in the US, since the inception of the idea of the FDA in 1906, Commercial interests have placed profits over producing healthy kids and influenced heavily our food supply. Congress, in Fall 2011, declared that tomato sauce qualified Pizza as a vegetable to keep from the added expense of improving foods in our schools. Toward that end, we are coming together, bonding together, opening an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food about GMOs. We are here to educate ourselves, and our fellow Californians that we might each stand in the light about what we are eating. We believe that in signing this petition we are Cultivating Food Justice on our own tables. Our bottomline is that we have a 'Right to Know' our food ingredients and to 'Label GMO Foods.' We intend to create a massive grassroots movement to support this.
We love California. We love good food. Many of us are gaining confidence now that we can grow some of our own foods. We trust the process of initiative in the Golden State. We come together now as registered voters, and as others around the country and from many nations, that the people of California become aware that GMOs are in many of our foods. We each, endorse the California 'Right to Know - Label GMOs.' We are letting each other know that we are standing together here to 'Grow a Healthier Pizza' for our Kids.

WHAT'S UP WITH THE NUMBER 7.5 MILLION + 2 CALIFORNIANS?
I was with Pamm Larry, May 29, 2012. She is the Grandma who started the California Right to Know Label GMOs Proposition that is on the Nov 6 ballot. Someone asked, how many people voted in California? She said 15 million. She said that we needed a couple people plus 50 % to win the California Right to Know Label GMOs Ballot Proposition. So...I thought...that meant we needed a magical number: "7.5 Million + 2 Californians" to Vote "Yes." Get it?
The "7.5 Million + 2" Petition is about counting our numbers now, and helping to build the most powerful Grassroots Movements California has seen.
