GARDEN MANAGMENT JOURNAL
It is 44 days until the beginning of the Caravan to the National Heirloom Expo, September 11-13, 2012 in Santa Rosa, California. I leave north September 1 for ten days. I will be spreading the word about our impending victory for the Right to Know Label GMOs Proposition 37, as enough of us create The Greatest Grass Roots Movement in Calfornia History.
I am connecting a number of themes here. One is that it is time for us all to get our beat back with Nature. We can do this as we take a stand to Grow a Healthier Pizza.
I am asking each person to Plant Your Dream.
I say do this because as we regain confidence that we can grow some of our own food, we get our beat back with nature.
We make better political and every day decision when the decisions we make are in harmony with the earth that has been and can be.
There are many things we could complain about. I am on a journey to Win Back Our Sacred Seeds. The Caravan to the National Heirloom Expo in Santa Rosa is one leg of this journey.
The National Heirloom Expo falls about two months before November 6, the day when we can take one more organic step to turn around our relationship to our very own Sacred Seed.
Mt. Kuchamaa, a sacred mountain at the base of Tecate and the border north to the US says Plant Your Dream! To Plant Your Dream we need good food that grows from fertile soil.

One of the powerful lines that influenced me in recent months was from
this video. Deborah says, "We cannot let Congress Get away with saying
Pizza is a Vegetable."
I had already started the theme of Grow a Healthier Pizza. I was unaware of that Special Interests influencing Congress had defined Tomato Sauce on Pizza as making Pizza a vegetable. I heard Deborah bring this up May 21, 2012 when I heard her speak at Rancho La Puerta. This helped me round out the '7.5 Million + 2 Petition. The Petition speaks to this Special Interests that have been influencing Congress for more than 106 years. Food Reform in America has been on the table since then. The Rally cry for Food Reform is now Grow a Healthier Pizza!

These words added finishing touches to the 7.5 Million + 2 Petition that aims to help inspire our victory November 6. 7.5 Million + 2 would be the simple majority we need to pass Proposition 37, based on the number of registered Voters who voted in the general election of 2008.

Millions of Californians are without their knowledge eating GMOs every day. GMOs are Genetically Modified Organisms. They have been in our food for a number of decades. Somebody thought this was O.K. to include GMOs in the daily foods we eat, but did not take the time to ask us first if we wanted them there. Near 50 nations of the world have the integrity to give their people choice to know if they are eating GMOs in their corn, soy, and a host of other foods, but in the US, since the inception of the idea of the FDA in 1906, Commercial interests have placed profits over producing healthy kids and influenced heavily our food supply. Congress, in Fall 2011, declared that tomato sauce qualified Pizza as a vegetable to keep from the added expense of improving foods in our schools. Toward that end, we are coming together, bonding together, opening an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food about GMOs. We are here to educate ourselves, and our fellow Californians that we might each stand in the light about what we are eating. We believe that in signing this petition we are Cultivating Food Justice on our own tables. Our bottomline is that we have a 'Right to Know' our food ingredients and to 'Label GMO Foods.' We intend to create a massive grassroots movement to support this.
We love California. We love good food. Many of us are gaining confidence now that we can grow some of our own foods. We trust the process of initiative in the Golden State. We come together now as registered voters, and as others around the country and from many nations, that the people of California become aware that GMOs are in many of our foods. We each, endorse the California 'Right to Know - Label GMOs.' We are letting each other know that we are standing together here to 'Grow a Healthier Pizza' for our Kids.

WHAT'S UP WITH THE NUMBER 7.5 MILLION + 2 CALIFORNIANS?
I was with Pamm Larry, May 29, 2012. She is the Grandma who started the California Right to Know Label GMOs Proposition that is on the Nov 6 ballot. Someone asked, how many people voted in California? She said 15 million. She said that we needed a couple people plus 50 % to win the California Right to Know Label GMOs Ballot Proposition. So...I thought...that meant we needed a magical number: "7.5 Million + 2 Californians" to Vote "Yes." Get it?
The "7.5 Million + 2" Petition is about counting our numbers now, and helping to build the most powerful Grassroots Movements California has seen.
