For months, I have been looking for "Crimes Against the Pure Food Law" by Dr. Harvey W. Wiley MD.
It is a book that "disappeared" from Libraries, was "lost" by its Publisher.
The book details the passage of The Pure Food Act of 1906, a book by the man who has been called the Father of the FDA, Dr. Harvey W. Wiley MD.
The book is an indictment against Special Interests who dominated Congress 100 years ago and still dominant Congress.
Is is not the kind of book that Special Interests wanted around,
especially in the year that millions of dollars of advertising money will be spent to create a sense that the Right to Know Label GMOs Ballot measure
is about something else than Consumer Rights.
Dr. Wiley who was basically dismissed from his post 100 years ago this year, is rising again.

Labeling GMOs will end Crimes Against the Pure Food Law
Dr. Harvey W. Wiley, MD was an American Hero who began the vision for a just and pure FDA 106 years ago. He inspired the Pure Food Law that was Passed by Congress, but could not be enforced.
"The History of the Crime Against the Pure Food Law" that Dr. Harvey W. Wiley, MD wrote in 1929 is the same crime that we will redress now as we pass the Right to Know, Label GMO Foods Ballot Initiative in California.
His book, stolen from Libraries and keep out of view, details Special Interests defeating the will of the public Good. Those special interests continue to this day. We have the opportunity to put them in their place. Dr. Wiley was talking about misbranding of food, adulteration of food, Junk food proliferation that causes Obesity, Diabetes, and allergies. We are in a Food Emergency. We no longer know how to eat. The battleground today is Labeling GMOs.
I am seeding now the greatest Grass Roots Movement in California History. saying we have the Right to Know. Label GMO Foods. This is the beginning of our return to Sanity. It is the beginning of Winning back heirloom seeds and seeing ourselves as Sacred Seeds.

This book, " A History of A Crime Against The Pure Food Law," a book that was taken out of circulation on purpose, helps us understand what is happening today in Congress under Special Influences of industry and how one America Hero responded with his life's work. This book gives helps us understand the FDA and its current actions, many that do not appear in sync with the Public Good..It gives us inspiration for what is clearly needed.

Dr. Wiley was the “father” of the famous Pure Food and Drug Law of 1906 and the first head of what would later become the FDA. The Lee Foundation republished his autobiography after the original manuscript was “lost” by the Macmillan Publishing Company and after the book had conspicuously disappeared from every library in the nation. In it, Wiley sets the historical record straight as to how the food industry corrupted the nation’s laws and politicians in order to sell cheap, refined, adulterated, devitalized “foods.” The industry’s usurpation of federal laws and regulations regarding whole foods is an example of American politics at its worst. Millions of Californians are without their knowledge eating GMOs every day. GMOs are Genetically Modified Organisms. They have been in our food for a number of decades. Somebody thought this was O.K. to include GMOs in the daily foods we eat, but did not take the time to ask us first if we wanted them there. Near 50 nations of the world have the integrity to give their people choice to know if they are eating GMOs in their corn, soy, and a host of other foods, but in the US, since the inception of the idea of the FDA in 1906, Commercial interests have placed profits over producing healthy kids and influenced heavily our food supply. Congress, in Fall 2011, declared that tomato sauce qualified Pizza as a vegetable to keep from the added expense of improving foods in our schools. Toward that end, we are coming together, bonding together, opening an honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food about GMOs. We are here to educate ourselves, and our fellow Californians that we might each stand in the light about what we are eating. We believe that in signing this petition we are Cultivating Food Justice on our own tables. Our bottomline is that we have a 'Right to Know' our food ingredients and to 'Label GMO Foods.' We intend to create a massive grassroots movement to support this.
We love California. We love good food. Many of us are gaining confidence now that we can grow some of our own foods. We trust the process of initiative in the Golden State. We come together now as registered voters, and as others around the country and from many nations, that the people of California become aware that GMOs are in many of our foods. We each, endorse the California 'Right to Know - Label GMOs.' We are letting each other know that we are standing together here to 'Grow a Healthier Pizza' for our Kids.

WHAT'S UP WITH THE NUMBER 7.5 MILLION + 2 CALIFORNIANS?
I was with Pamm Larry, May 29, 2012. She is the Grandma who started the California Right to Know Label GMOs Proposition that is on the Nov 6 ballot. Someone asked, how many people voted in California? She said 15 million. She said that we needed a couple people plus 50 % to win the California Right to Know Label GMOs Ballot Proposition. So...I thought...that meant we needed a magical number: "7.5 Million + 2 Californians" to Vote "Yes." Get it?
The "7.5 Million + 2" Petition is about counting our numbers now, and helping to build the most powerful Grassroots Movements California has seen.
