A History of The Growth of Organic Alfalfa in America,

This is a Photo Essay I want to Create that is a Summary of The Organic Alfalfa Growing Experience 2011 and into 2012,
In December 2010, the USDA help a meeting to discuss the deregulation of Alfalfa. This meeting was attended by a number of Organic Industry Leaders. What followed was the deregulation of Biotech Alfalfa, opening the doors for its growth. Biotech alfalfa if grown near organic alfalfa will cross breed. The field will no longer be organic.
The two cannot coexist in the same specific area.
Many of the those on the organic side, from grassroots to organic industry leadership were shocked by the USDA decision. This was one more step in the decision. It became clear that the decision to deregulate came right from the White House.
It became clear that Uncle Sam was was married to GMO, although there are elements within the USDA in the Organic sector who favor organic.
At the same time, Democracy was being an uprising in many countries in the Mideast.
At the same time, I became to hear Organic Alfalfa calling to me. It wanted to be grown out. The solution to the problem was to bring this issue to more widespread awareness.
I came to realize that many of the poor decisions in Washington were being made because too many of us had lost our beat with Nature. We needed to be in the loop if "Uncle Sam was to Marry "Anti" GMO.
In late Winter, 2011, I began to grow organic alfalfa.
Beginning at home at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds in San Diego, and then wherever I would travel, I would carry pots of Organic Alfalfa.
Growing Alfalfa
I began growing organic alfalfa in BioSmart Sugar Bagasse contains with Foxfarm soil. Sometimes, I would grow it in larger pots. There was a period of getting to know the plant. It seemed to be seasonly, growing best over time.
By Summer 2011, I began to have my best success growing Alfalfa in our garden. I focused on one spot.
My pride and joy has been a small bit of alfalfa growing in our Food Not Lawn Front Yard.
At the Natural Product Expo West March 7-11, 2012, I again took Alfalfa to the show. I also took by 2012 plants, Organic Kamut and Arundo Donax.
A few weeks after the Natural Product Expo, toward the end of March, after the Soring Equinox, my first organic Alfalfa sprouted.
Here is that picture. This is the beginning of the fulfillment of this Seed Dream.
I am very exciting by these pictures.
The growth of the Seed Dream ties in for me with the movement in 2012: The Beginning of regaining our Food Supply free of GMOs. This begins with the
Label GMOs in various states and the national Label it movement.
Where are we going?
I would like to see Uncle Sam Marry:"Anti" GMO
In between our many organic steps that will include:
An Honest Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Food between GMO and Organic Lovers.
Other Steps will include helping Youth and Adults get back our beat with Nature. The fragmentation within our being allows many of our decisions that are out of sync with nature.
That's my point of view.

The Organic Uprising Poster 2011
The centerpiece of the 2011 campaign became a poster and the theme is
Each of us being an Organic Uprising, each of us Standing Up for Nature's Original Technology.
The Season of the Organic Uprising Campaign culminated at the Pacific Symposium in San Diego.
Each year, I gift one of my photo art pieces to the school. The art work for 2011 is yet to be presented. It will include the names of various members of our community who have signed on to be part of the Organic Uprising Campaign.
