THIS IS THE PROBLEM MANY RESTAURANTS ARE HAVING
The food arrived and things took a turn for the worst. I realised that I was constantly waving fruit flies off of my food. My husband pointed out to me that there were at least 5 flies on the back of the booth seat.
“Terrible food quality accompanied by fruit flies in restaurant.”
THIS DESCRIBES THE ISSUE:
FRUIT FLIES PICK UP PATHOGENS
Flies are so often found in areas of filth picking up pathogens on their feet and mouth parts. This is then transferred to human food through their vomit or by their feces onto our food. It’s also common that these types if illnesses can be transferred directly into an open wound or sore. The lack of sound sanitation, plumbing and pest control allow flies to flourish.

THE PROBLEMS EXTENDS TO YOUR WINE GLASS
AND TO THE WINERY BEHIND IT
WHAT EFFECT DOES A FRUIT FLY HAVE ON A GLASS
OF WINE?
DO FRUIT FLIES RUIN THE TASTE OF WINE?
Yes...they do this article says.
By Mary Baker
Do fruit flies ruin the taste of wine?
Indeed they do. And quickly. If you find a fruit fly in your glass, fish it out or dump the wine immediately. Aside from the unpleasant prospect of swallowing a bug, the alcohol in the wine softens the fly’s body and it releases a nasty-smelling enzyme into the wine.
If you have never recognized the smell of drosophila melanogaster, just pour 2 oz. of wine into a glass, set it out, and wait for the little buggers to fall in. While they are drowning, pour another 2 oz. into a fresh glass. Smell and taste the fresh glass. Then smell the drosophila glass. Once you learn to detect that aroma, you will know it anywhere. I can smell one fly in a bottle of wine, in the dark.

WINERIES HAVE FLYING BUG ISSUES
When visiting a winery during harvest, there a couple of things to watch for—a complete lack of fruit flies in a tasting room that is near the cellar or crushpad probably means the winery is employing chemical bombs at night.
