LAST WEEKEND WAS THE LAUNCH
OF ORGANIC UPRISING IN #CITYHEIGHTS
It was the launch of Organic Uprising #CityHeights.
Today, Keith Pezzoli Ph.D
Durector of Field Research, Lecturer
UCSD, M.C.'s and helped organize
a profound Tipping point event for me
in Food Justice.
It was called the Food Justice Forum
Cultivating University-Community Partnerships
for a Healthier Society.

The event hit the spot.
It was quite a dessert.
The program was taped.
I will have a link up before long.
I taped a lot of it myself and took some Super Ripe
Images.
There was some really great networking.
The cream was meeting Professor Robert Gottlieb,
Director of the Urban & Environmental Policy
Institute at Occidental College.
He set the stage for the Forum's Roundtable
and Public Dialogue by introducing the concept
of Food Justice.
The program read:
Help Transform where, what, and how
our food is grown, produced,
transported, accessed and eaten on the path
to a healthier and more just society.
The event was more than that.
It was a grand meeting, a delightful
collaborative moment that sparked a many
more thoughts that I would have liked to express,
but curtained my cheerleader to about 90 seconds.

Here are some.
A student at UC.
She studied i Ireland and did basically what
the apprentices did at La Milpa Organic Farm.
She volunteered. Barry Logan was busted for doing that
last summer.
La Milpa was a premier experience in farming.
I did numbers of videos on it.
The last squash I had from La Milpa Organic Farm.
will be one of the Chapters in Organic Uprising # CItyHeights.
I am dedicating the work I did at the 2011 Cultivating Food Justice
event to Barry Logan.
He is now on the road.
I did not get an I.D. on the student who spoke.
I want to follow up with her.
Does she know about La Milpa Organica Farm?
HOW MANY KNEW ABOUT THE DEREGULATION
OF GENETICALLY ENGINEERED ALFALFA?
I am stunned that we can fill hours talking
about Food Justice, and not even scratch the surface
with all the subjects that could or need to be addressed,
as well as action plans.

I am putitng this up as I go along,
so I can begin sharing the Work In Progress.
Feedback Keeps me zeroes in
